The 'small balls' Kit Siang

Posted: 29 Jul 2013 06:03 AM PDT

DAP sec-gen Lim Guan Eng avowed on Sunday that he and friends will fight any attempt to de-register the party. However, he and dad aka 'DAP big boss' Lim Kit Siang were tight lips over a challenge made by some of party members - call for a fresh election!

They said nothing. Even Karpal Singh remains adamant and refused to answer some boiling questions by disgruntled members over the drama and saga behind the CEC (central executive committee) election late last year.

The Registrar of Society (ROS) had last week affirmed that it did not recognise the CEC, and that DAP was now in a limbo.

ROS director-general Abdul Rahman Othman had also called on DAP not to harbour hope of forming a new party if the party were to be de-registered. This has prompted Lim Kit Siang to criticise Abdul Rahman and called on members who cared about DAP to 'take the initiative to save the party'.

Lim also mulls the idea to sue ROS but without any tangible reason, they will surely lose! And what about this challenge:
KAJANG- A former DAP leader has challenged the party national advisor Lim Kit Siang to swiftly call a party re-election regarding the Central Executive Committee (CEC) fiasco, in order to prove that they are truly honest in practising transparency.
Speaking to reporters here, former Selangor DAP publicity secretary Tan Tuan Tat said this would also put to rest allegations surrounding secretary-general Lim Guan Eng's position in the party.
"Lim Kit Siang should be brave enough to call for party re-election and find out how many votes his son, Lim Guan Eng secured," he said, referring to a claim made in a controversial booklet penned by one Father Augustus Chen.
"It was told by Father Augustus Chen that Guan Eng had to resort to fraud in order to secure his position in the party," Tan added.
It was reported previously that the booklet was being circulated in Penang and it contained details of the alleged electoral fraud committed during the CEC polls at the party's national congress in Penang on Dec 15.
Although there was no clear identity of Chen, which some claimed that he used to be close with Kit Siang, Tan said the booklet was a "gospel truth".
"Victory by fraudulent means, is the philosophy of the Lim Family. Kit Siang should share with the whole world how he reigned his power in DAP for the past 47 years," he said.
"We challenge Kit Siang to prove his own statement that the innocence is not guilty and the guilty is not innocent.
"Be daring to call for fresh election so as to live up to DAP's CAT (Competency, Accountability and Transparency) principles," he added.
He also said that up until today, DAP still failed to furnish the two lists of delegates despite being pressured to do so by party grassroots.
"Guan Eng has not furnished Registrar of Societies with the list of 2,576 delegates allowed to attend and the 1,823 delegates attended the CEC election.
Lim & Gang also have yet to answer allegations about the existent of 547 phantom voters brought in to vote for the CEC, especially in securing the victory for six candidates 'fully-supported' by the top leadership.
BUTTERWORTH: Former Bagan Luar DAP branch chairman G. Asoghan has claimed that 547 people were brought in to pose as delegates during the party elections and coerced to vote for six candidates for top party posts.
The candidates were party adviser Lim Kit Siang, secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, chairman Karpal Singh, secretary Chong Chieng Jin, national organising secretary Anthony Loke and activist Vincent Wu Him Ven.
Asoghan, a sacked DAP member, made the accusation during a press conference here Saturday based on a 16-page booklet titled "Equity Report (Central Executive Committee Election Fraud)" compiled by a 'Father Augustus Chen'.
"Is it true that the 547 phantom voters, who were mostly from Penang were brought in to vote for the top six party leaders?
"Lim and Loke should explain the matter to the party members," he said.
Asoghan claimed that the 547 phantom voters could have attended the party elections as observers.
As what Lim and his friends in Pakatan Rakyat suggested PM Najib to call for a fresh general election, I think it will be better for Lim to call for a fresh DAP election before they could march into the next GE.

Otherwise, it will cost them many seats!
