Posted: 29 Jul 2013 06:03 AM PDT DAP sec-gen Lim Guan Eng avowed on Sunday that he and friends will fight any attempt to de-register the party. However, he and dad aka 'DAP big boss' Lim Kit Siang were tight lips over a challenge made by some of party members - call for a fresh election! They said nothing. Even Karpal Singh remains adamant and refused to answer some boiling questions by disgruntled members over the drama and saga behind the CEC (central executive committee) election late last year. The Registrar of Society (ROS) had last week affirmed that it did not recognise the CEC, and that DAP was now in a limbo. ROS director-general Abdul Rahman Othman had also called on DAP not to harbour hope of forming a new party if the party were to be de-registered. This has prompted Lim Kit Siang to criticise Abdul Rahman and called on members who cared about DAP to 'take the initiative to save the party'. Lim also mulls the idea to sue ROS but without any tangible reason, they will surely lose! And what about this challenge: KAJANG- A former DAP leader has challenged the party national advisor Lim Kit Siang to swiftly call a party re-election regarding the Central Executive Committee (CEC) fiasco, in order to prove that they are truly honest in practising transparency.Lim & Gang also have yet to answer allegations about the existent of 547 phantom voters brought in to vote for the CEC, especially in securing the victory for six candidates 'fully-supported' by the top leadership. BUTTERWORTH: Former Bagan Luar DAP branch chairman G. Asoghan has claimed that 547 people were brought in to pose as delegates during the party elections and coerced to vote for six candidates for top party posts. As what Lim and his friends in Pakatan Rakyat suggested PM Najib to call for a fresh general election, I think it will be better for Lim to call for a fresh DAP election before they could march into the next GE. Otherwise, it will cost them many seats! |
