Sulu threat... again!

Posted: 20 Jul 2013 11:07 AM PDT

If Sulu terrorists attack Sabah again to avenge the death of their comrades in Lahad Datu in March, they will walk into 'hell'! Malaysia will be ready for them.

There were reports that they will enter Sabah via Tambunan next month, according to our intelligence. Although we are more prepared, Zahid said Malaysia cannot take the matter lightly.
Zahid said police and army on duty at the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) would be ready to face new threats from the militants.

"Do not threaten us. Do not do something which not only make the police and military will rise up but will also make Malaysians angry," he said in Bagan Datoh yesterday when commenting on the ongoing investigation by Sabah police on a letter allegedly sent by a Sulu militant vowing revenge.

Sabah police chief Datuk Hamza Taib had said they were tracing the origin of the letter which was sent to Tambunan District Office recently.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also Bagan Datoh member of parliament, said there are even rumours that former Moro National Liberation Front chairman Nur Misuari would be coming to Sabah.

"Anyone who wants to enter Sabah in August, we are waiting for them now," he said.

"We would like to remind Nur Misuari not to use Malaysia to spill blood like what happened in Mindanao, Philippines previously," he said.

Ahmad Zahid also reminded Malaysians not to take lightly the threat from the Sulu militants who are famous with their revenge culture.

"We should not let our guard down as they are bound to launch attacks if we are not careful," he said.
Misuari?

He is a man of no principle. Once Malaysia's good friend, he now turns his back on us. However, if he is 'anak jantan', he can give it a try!

God of Penang

Call it misrepresentation; miss use of power, missing the point but one thing is for sure that Lim Guan Eng is treating Penang as his own front yard where he can do whatever he pleases.

The recent unveiling of DAP's inflatable hornbill mascot, Ubah, at the coast off the IJM promenade in Sungai Pinang in Penang clearly reflects his all mighty and arrogant attitude.

Being the Penang Chief Minister, how can he allow a political mascot to be placed in the waters of Penang and proclaim that it's for the sake of tourism.

Call it political immaturity or political insensitivity, or purely political arrogance, Guan Eng should not go about running the state as if it is his own grandfather's company.

Come on Guan Eng, you cannot at your whims and fancies do what you want with Penang. It does not belong to you. It belongs to the Penang people. Have some respect for the people from Penang as they make up of various races and of different political allegiance.

There is such a thing as political decorum and as Chief Minister, Guan Eng should serve all irrespective of their allegiance. While DAP supporters may give the thumbs up for the hornbill mascot, many other Penangites aren't too thrilled.

It also makes no sense to have a floating hornbill unless it's a duck. Foreign tourists may laugh at Malaysians for being a bunch of idiots for such ignorance, no thanks to Guan Eng. Hornbill do not go in the water unlike ducks and swans.

Malaysians and Penangites in particular will also unwittingly be branded Copy Cats for following Hong Kong's giant inflatable yellow duck designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman.

Perhaps Guan Eng merely wants to drown Sarawak's burung kenyalang or hornbill out of spite that Pakatan Rakyat did not make it to Putrajaya as the East Malaysians had not given them support in the 13th general election.

The bright-coloured inflatable hornbill mascot weighs about 250kg and measures 7.6m high and 10.9 m wide. Guan Eng says the RM60,000 mascot was from a sponsor, refusing to divulge the person or company who paid the bill.

Who had sponsored the floating hornbill has been shrouded with secrecy and this runs contrary to the Competency, Accountability and Transparency policy of the Penang government.

Why so secretive about the sponsors of the mascot when he proclaims that the state government did not finance the project.

If Guan Eng so wishes, he should have placed the hornbill Ubah mascot in the compound of Wisma DAP in Jalan Rangoon, Penang.

This is a political mascot and should not be passed off as a tourism product. As Chief Minister, he should know how to differentiate his role as a DAP leader and a state administrator. Guan Eng, please UBAH your attitude and not do whatever you pleases.

But since he is so fascinated with inflatables, stopthelies suggests that Guan Eng sponsor an inflatable Rainbow or better still an inflatable doll resembling his ex charming personal assistant Ng Phaik Keng @ Rainbow @ Chai Hong.

But please don't place it in the sea because it may just float away and we don't want a heart broken Chief Minister.
