Unfair!

So, our public universities give better treatment to foreign students, right?

They (foreign students) are offered with low fees, better study package... yada, yada, yada... as compared with our locals.

Why la?

I believe the Cabinet should look into this 'allegation'.
Public universities are treating local students unfairly by offering cheaper fees to foreign students.
Sabah Private Higher Learning Institution Association president Datuk Wong Khen Thau said that it was also wrong for the public universities and colleges to provide cheaper education fees to foreign students as this hampers efforts by private institutions of higher learning in Sabah to help the government make Malaysia a regional education hub.
According to The Star, Wong said the public universities and colleges were offering fees much lower than their private counterparts, and this indirectly subsidises the foreign students to pursue various courses.
He said potential foreign students had complained that fees at the private institutions were too expensive when compared to that offered by public universities and colleges.
"They tell us it is a better deal with the government universities as they provide better facilities than us," he said.
The public institutions, he said, were charging foreign students as low as RM3,500 a year for certain diploma courses while private institutions' fees cost three or four times more.

Comparatively, we offer among the cheapest education fee in the Asia-Pacific region, depending on the course and discipline.

However, it is not fair to exempt local students from such a 'privilege' amid the government's approach to lure more foreigners to pursue their education in the country.

And is it true the government provides scholarship to some foreign students?

Why Sedition Act must stay

Posted: 12 Jul 2013 02:53 AM PDT

I hope you guys understand why we MUST NOT REPEAL THE SEDITION ACT 1948.

The more we tolerate them by submitting to their demands for this and that freedom, we will get more and more of this.

No! Please don't blame the Chinese. They are nice people. This two do not represent the Malaysian Chinese. They are satan of their own.

However, the government must come down harder on sensitive element like this or the nation will tick like a time-bomb.

And to maintain order and security, we need a good and stringent law.

Since we repealed ISA and Emergency Ordinance, we get more insolent people around us. What will happen if we abolish the Sedition Act.

Of course, the opposition will again emerge winner... but the country will go to the dogs!
