Anwar, Ambiga above the law

Nothing's wrong with the assembly at Kelana Jaya stadium last night which was attended by about 40,000 people. It was their rights... and no untoward incident.

However, they didn't care about the residents within the vicinity of the venue and their privacy. They couldnt find their way home when many roads were 'closed' by PKR supporters who treated the area as theirs.


They defied police order to postpone the rally, belittling PDRM and putting the law under their feet. Anwar and Ambiga couldnt care less about the responsibility of the police as they thought they were above the law.
PETALING JAYA: The mass gathering by the Opposition at the Kelana Jaya Stadium is illegal because the organisers did not follow procedures outlined in the Peaceful Assembly Act (PAA) 2012.
Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said the organisers had obtained the stadium management's permission but informed police only on the day of the event.
"Under the PAA, the organisers must inform the police 10 days in advance.
"This would enable the police to gain feedback from the residents in the area as well as coordinate manpower to maintain security and ensure smooth traffic flow," he said yesterday.
He added that the organisers blatantly refused to obey the law and the impromptu rally was unfair to the residents.
"The best option would have been to postpone the rally but the organisers refused to do so," he said.
And what did Anwar and Lim Kit Siang tell those who attended it? They incited hatred towards Barisan Nasional, the Election Commission, PM Najib, Umno, MCA, MIC and anybody who supports the government.

I believe they will organise similar rally nationwide, especially in Penang, Ipoh and Johor Bahru with the intention of applying pressure on Najib to step down and hand over power to Anwar and his Pakatan Rakyat team.

They will not concede defeat as their mind was locked with images of 'coming to power' before we went to the polls on May 5.

If the police and authorities 'give in' to such a threat, I think the country would be chaos soon...

I don't know how is best to describe this cartoon by Sin Chew Daily, depicting Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat as beggars to the 'Chinese king' (in a larger perspective is the Chinese voters). What's the motive anyway?

However, I understand what's hidden. Do you?

Accept defeat, Anwar!

Whether there were flaws or not during the just concluded 13th general election, it was a good start to a 'clean and free' election in the country; and with due respect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, please accept the decision of the voters!

No point taking to the streets again inciting the rakyat to reject Barisan Nasional government or asking the international community to condemn Malaysia's electoral system when the Election Commission had done the best to fulfill what you and Bersih demanded.

Or, would you prefer a fresh national poll?

Be a true gentleman, be a good Opposition Leader and take your team on the right and proper function as a constructive opposition rather than mocking at each and very policy the government introduced.

The rally you planned for tonight at the Kelana Jaya stadium is declared illegal by the police, and whoever attends it will be deemed as breaking the law. So, please reconsider the repercussion before the rakyat themselves avow their detest at your politics.
PETALING JAYA (May 8, 2013): Police said it will be illegal for PKR to go ahead with its planned rally at the Kelana Jaya stadium here tonight.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohammed said at noon that the political party had failed to adhere to the 10-day notice-to-police rule under the Peaceful Assembly Act.
"The organisers came over to meet us today to inform us of the rally but we advised them to call off the rally and postpone it to another day in order to comply with the law." he told theSun when contacted.
He said police will act in accordance to provisions under the Peaceful Assembly Act if the rally organisers went ahead with the gathering at 8.30pm today.
When asked if the organisers had agreed to postpone the rally as advised by police, Arjunaidi said, "That will need to be verified with them, they did not inform us."
As of 2pm, there were no statements from the organisers of any change of date of the gathering and it is learnt that the rally is expected to be held as planned.
Majority of Malaysians have picked Barisan Nasional to lead the country. How could you, Lim Kit Siang, Karpal, Hadi and others made pre-election judgement that BN could only win through vote rigging and fraud? Had Pakatan won it, will you be dead sure no cheatings were involved?

What would satisfy you? Getting the prime minister post?
While there are flaws and irregularities in the conduct of the recently concluded 13th general election, we should accept it - even if it is only partially free and unfair - as the starting point for reforms.
"I am too afraid to say if the flaws affected the results.
"But I personally believe that we should accept the result, it is credible as of now... partially free and not fair. If we don't, where do we go from there?" asked Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (Ideas) CEO Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
Speaking to reporters in Putrajaya today, Wan Saiful advised everyone to accept the GE13 results which are as close to credible as it is going to get, but then put their energy and effort not in anger, but towards reforming the system.
The rakyat have had enough of dirty political bickering as it interrupts their daily momentum. They are scared of any post-election backlash by Pakatan, Bersih and other anti-BN groups to the extent that there are already rumors about possible riot and violent demonstration nationwide.

Is this what you actually want to see?

You didn't lose completely as Pakatan handed out the worst 'defeat' ever in its history. In politics, we win some we lose some. If Pakatan is not satisfied with the polling process, there are channels to contest it but not by taking people to demonstrate.

Unless you and your team do have the intention to run down the country, you may proceed!
