Pakatan's First "Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat" Fails : Low Turnout

Posted: 03 Nov 2012 11:04 PM PDT

I have a suggestion after this. First here is the very, very skimpy news from The Star (Helen Ang is right - they do play down Pakatan's bad news).
  • Crowd numbers a letdown at Opposition rally
  • SEREMBAN: first leg of Pakatan Rakyat's "People's Uprising Assembly" kicked off here last night with turnout of several thousands, far short of targeted 50,000.
  • rally was held in an area the size of four football fields in Seremban Jaya
  • Opposition leaders present Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and Hadi Awang.
  • Mat Sabu first senior leader to address the crowd at about 10pm.
It is not true they were targeting for 50,000. They were talking about getting 100,000 people to attend. The real numbers that turned up was less than 7000.  That is a serious failure.
Here is another report about the Pakatan Rakyat's failed rally last nite in Seremban.
  • Ceramah Perdana Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat (HKR 1.0) 3 Nov 2012 jam 8:30-11:50 di Taman Seremban Jaya  dihadiri sekitar 7000 orang.
  • (Melayu-70 peratus, Cina-20 peratus, India-10 peratus).
  • Selain itu seramai lapan (8 ) pemimpin berucap seperti P. Gunasekaran, ADUN Senawang; Anthony Loke, Ketua DAPSY; Taufik Abd Ghani, ADUN Paroi; Dato Mahfuz Omar,Naib Presiden PAS; Haris Madun, wakil ANAK; Nazri Rahman, wakil Royalti Kelantan; Dato Toh, wakil Bersih dan wakil Lynas. Bacaan sajak oleh A Samad Said
  • tiga pemimpin utama parti serta hebahan secara meluas di laman web dan pentas ceramah tetapi kehadiran sederhana saja
  • kehadiran 7 ribu orang tidak mencapai sasaran
Folks, minus their own party workers and supporters, minus those paid money to attend, the actual number who came on their own to attend this Himpunan could be about 2000 or less. (There were at least 1000 of our UMNO and BN boys there as well - how else do you think I got that detailed report above?)

People are getting tired of video actors and clowns wearing gowns trying to pass themselves off as "saya pemimpin Islam".    Here are two pictures of the Rear Admiral giving a "tazkirah" or religious talk.  Charles Darwin maybe interested in this first picture.

These two pictures above are taken from this site.  Do visit the site. There are other pictures there. It gives you an idea of the type of character you are dealing with.  Can you believe this guy? Tak ada malu langsung.
Last nite I was at a dinner function. I had the unfortunate luck of sitting beside a Malay couple who were Pakatan supporters. It was a social function and they went on and on about the Pakatan, especially about the First Family of Liwat. These people are really sick. Firstly  for their support of a chameleon rear ender and China Doll player. Secondly for unloading their political crap at a social gathering and spoiling my dinner.  Tak ada class langsung. Macam orang yang tak pernah sekolah.
Anyway back to the failed Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat  last nite, it is even more telling that Mat Sapu B.O.  only addressed the crowd at 10:00 PM. Before him the "warm up" speakers entertained the crowd. This means there was not enough crowd.
By the time the Rear Admiral spoke to the crowd it was close to midnite. Here is how these things work folks. Before the big guns appear on stage to speak, their point-men (the people on the ground) will check the crowd and make a quick assessment  - number of people, majority race present, level of education etc.   They will inform the speaker. Only then the speaker will adjust his volume and tempo to suit  the audience. This is called a ceramah politik.
The fact that the stars of the show like Mat Sapu B.O. could only talk at 10:00 pm is bad news. It means there was no crowd.   Until today, nine years after his retirement, if Dr Mahathir turns up at 4:00 PM to speak, the full crowd is already there. I have NEVER heard Dr Mahathir addressing any ceramah after 8 PM at nite. Tak pernah. It is always afternoon or early nite. Full house too.  I think very soon the Pakatan will have no choice but to resort to their old tricks of the early 2000s. They used to organise their ceramah during Pasar Malam. Then they will say that 10,000 people attended. Actually people came to buy vegetables at the pasar malam.
Once they organised a ceramah at the Port Dickson beach on a Sunday when there were many people picnicking by the beach. Then they said 10,000 people attended their ceramah - by the beach !! While splashing in the sea !!
Soon, they will hold their ceramahs at school sports days. Then they will claim that school children support them.
My guess is they will soon beat a retreat to their "strongholds" like Kota Bharu or Penang or Alor Setar. In Selangor they have failed. People just dont turn up for their ceramah anymore. In Kedah and Penang too the crowds are thinning out. People dont come to listen to them anymore. Time is NOT on their side. The more time pases, the more people become fed up with them.
In Kota Bharu they will get that muka tin sadin fellow to come and do his little jig. The 'kahwin bini empat' types will turn up, laugh with their mouths open so wide you can see into their stomachs, there will be the allahu akbars and then they will all float off on the air as if they are already in heaven.
Here is my advise. I think the Pakatan should take a cue from Ronnie Liu about how to pull in the crowd. After Ronnie Liu won his State seat in Klang in March 2008 the DAP held a victory dinner. The guests of honour were Raja Petra Kamarudin, his wife, another nice lady and yours truly (only on account of the fact that I drove RPK, wife and nice lady over in my car - otherwise I would not even be on the invitation list).  Those were the days when we were all working together to bring down Slumberjack - who was not kicked out until the following year 2009.
Anyway there was a good crowd - DAP folks, PKR folks and plenty PAS folks. And there were also these skimpily clad, Chinese girls who entertained the crowd. Here is a picture which gives you an idea:

This picture is lifted off the Internet (Hungry Ghost Festival in Penang) but let me assure you the girls dress and look exactly alike.  Anyway all the PAS guys had their eyes glued on stage. They dont provide this type of entertainment at their PAS gatherings. And on top of everything else this was halal too - Pakatan Rakyat punya halal.
So if they want to get the 100,000 crowd - have the Himpunan on a pasar malam nite, at a school sports day and by the Port Dickson beach. And have these skimpily clad dancers provide the entertainment.  That might do the trick.

Kuantan No Water ??

Posted: 03 Nov 2012 08:36 PM PDT

I received this comment from a Blog reader. Taking it in good faith. He says there has been no water in Kuantan for six days. Here is the comment :

Tuan Syed

Can you write this on your blog

  • I am living in Kuantan, Pahang. If you talk about Selangor having water shortage, we in Pahang is the same.
  • 3 mths we have no water for 7 days. No explanation is given by Bekalan Air Pahang nor from the Menteri Besar
  • Since last Tuesday we again have no water. It is already 6 days now. Jabatan Air Pahang claimed they do not know the root cause of the problem. After 6 days???? Idiots must be working in that department. There is also no affort to supply water to this area via tanker
  • Surely BN will lose a lot of vote in Kuantan. It is now under PKR. With the attitude of the Chief Minister and the careless attitude of Jabatan Air Pahang, maybe we need Pakatan to look after the basic welfare of the people.
  • It is the incompetence and the arrogance of the BN that piss us off.
  • I hope Najib read your blog
  • X men
Well this sounds serious enough.  Takkan Pahang tak ada air ? Macamlah dalam neraka tak ada api. Dah musim hujan lagi. Mungkin paip belum tukar ke, paip pecah ke, loji rosak ke. Atau pun kontraktor dah lari ke, kontraktor tak siap kerja ke.

I hope the PM or the MB will look into this asap. People are suffering.

Ex-Diplomat Says US Behind Sino-Japanese Rift

Posted: 03 Nov 2012 05:33 AM PDT

My comments follow :

A former Japanese diplomat has accused the United States of manipulating Japan since the second world war in order to "eliminate" prime ministers who sought to develop better relations with Beijing.

Ukeru Magosaki, who also served as the head of the Foreign Ministry's Intelligence and Analysis Bureau, has recently written a book that has soared to the top of Japan's bestseller lists.

The book - Sengoshi no Shotai (The Truth Behind Post-war History) - states that the US will never remove its military bases from Japanese territory, no matter how much public outcry there is. Magosaki also said he believes that certain factions in the US would even like to see Japan develop nuclear weapons.(to fight Uncle Sam's war).

"In the book, I divide Japanese leaders into two groups; those who have wanted to pursue independent foreign policies and those who have just followed US instructions and policies," Magosaki said in Tokyo yesterday.

"Those in the first group were not welcomed by the US government and were usually quickly eliminated from the post of prime minister."

This was not achieved directly by Washington, he claimed, but through subtle influence over key politicians, the media, government officials and senior executives of major companies.

Ukeru Magosaki, left,  says US  plotted  fall  of  Yukio  Hatoyama, centre, and Ichiro Ozawa

A spokeswoman for the US embassy in Tokyo declined to comment on the allegations made in Magosaki's book.

To achieve its control of Japan's political processes, Washington has interfered with media coverage, encouraged opposition parties, twisted public opinion and even brought down governments by "eliminating" key cabinet members, Magosaki claims.

Two of the Japanese politicians who he claims have been hounded for their independent thoughts have been Yukio Hatoyama, who lasted less then nine months as prime minister until June 2010, and Ichiro Ozawa, whose reputation has been tarnished by a financial scandal and a legal case.

Magosaki believes that had Hatoyama remained in power, the government would not be making moves to restart Japan's nuclear reactors - shut down in the aftermath of the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant - and would not have gone ahead with raising the consumption tax or deploying US military Osprey aircraft to Okinawa.

These issues, along with the ongoing debate over the Diaoyu-Senkaku islands and the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade discussions, are all closely connected with Washington's global geopolitical interests, Magosaki said.

The US was "encouraging politicians like [national policy minister Seiji] Maehara to take action against China as that has a benefit for the US," he said.

And while business interests in the US may want closer co-operation with China, the US government was pursuing what Magosaki termed an "offshore balancing strategy" under which neighbouring nations - he named South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam and Japan - are encouraged to pursue actions to constrain China and its growing regional influence.

"The Senkaku [Diaoyu] issue is part of that strategy," he said.

"Today, in the US, there are some people who want Japan to have a nuclear bomb.

"This is related to balancing strategy, to counter China by using Japan's military power.

"From China's point of view, Yoshihiko Noda has been the worst prime minister they could have had and they feel there can be no trust" between the two governments, Magosaki said. "That means that anyone who replaces him will be welcome."

Well this is a good thing to do. At least now more people are better informed. But what happens after this revelation? Does the US pack up its aircraft carriers and leave the scene? Do the Ospreys leave Okinawa? I dont think so.

Osprey V22 Tilt Rotor are stationed in Okinawa

How can this information be useful to us? Well, first of all the US only believes in democracy within its own borders. If they tried something like this inside the US, the President may lose the election. These types of shenanigans only work outside the US.

And yet there are really stupid people in this country who look up to the US as some sort of paragon of virtue and democracy.  Here are just two of them :

Suaram has admitted that they received money from the United States.  The other picture shows clearly the Americans giving something directly to another one of our dunggus. Malulah bagi kita. It is a day of shame. There is nothing to be proud of here.

Receiving money and awards from the most bloodthirsty and murderous regime the world has ever known. There is blood, human blood on their hands. The Americans and their allies especially the British seem to glory in spilling human blood. Democracy has become a bloodsport for them. They have killed a million people or more in Afghanistan and Iraq alone. As you read this, the Americans are still bombing and killing human beings in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Here is some history folks. The Americans bombed Afghanistan because they say Osama Bin Laden attacked the World Trade Centre in the 9-11 attacks. This is a real joke. A turbanned nut case hiding inside caves in Afghanistan could bring down the world's tallest buildings in New York. OK we can argue this later.

15 of the nineteen  9-11 hijackers were Saudi Arabians. Osama Bin Laden was also a Saudi.  Saudi Arabia is among the most repressive and undemocratic societies in the world today.  They do not have democracy at all. They provided the money and 15 of the 19 hijackers who attacked the World Trade Centre in New York.

So why not bomb Saudi Arabia?  Why didnt the US attack Saudi Arabia, topple their undemocractic government and put in a democratic regime?  The answer is simple. Oil. The Saudis sit on 20% of the world's oil supplies.  So the US 'closes one eye'.  Bloody hypocrites.

Instead they attacked goat and camel dung infested Afghanistan. Afghanistan was needed as a stepping stone into Central Asia and also to put a noose around China.  And now this Japanese diplomat says the US is interfering inside Japanese domestic affairs to keep Japan away from China.

And these are the people that Suaram and that 'estate girl' look up to.   How stupid can you get? These people have very low moral values. And they are doing all this to support their hero who is an ex-convict. He was sent to jail for six years for corrupt abuse of power.

Corrupt abuse of power to do what? He corruptly instructed the Police to arrest and torture one Ummi Hafilda Ali. Why? She had written a letter, a signed letter with her name, IC number and  address accusing him of being involved in sexual misbehaviour.  That was all. Just a simple letter saying that he was involved in hanky panky.

Just for that he asked the Police to arrest and torture her. For committing that crime the Court sentenced him to six years in jail.

And now, to help this type of ex-convict and jailbird, these dunggus are accepting money and support from the United States, the most murderous and bloodthirsty nation on the surface of this earth. The United States has shed more human blood than Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan combined.

Siapa mahu, go and vote for them. After that you can go to hell.
