Pakatan Rakyat Graduates

Posted: 04 Jul 2012 12:39 AM PDT

Last week I happened to be seated beside Tunku Aziz at that dinner with the British guys. We sat and spoke for almost an hour. I got the feeling that he really regrets having joined the DAP. It was not just one event that caused him to leave the DAP but there were a series of occurences which disturbed him from early on.

Among the earliest things was the asset declaration by the Pakatan guys. (Tunku Aziz has already said this to the media). Their asset declaration does not include their wives and children.

Tunku Aziz then said that the DAP guy who is in charge of the "1000 massage parlours" in Selangor has now moved into a bungalow house in Shah Alam. Leaving his son to occupy their old two storey terrace house.  So where did he get the money for a bungalow house?

It looks like the Pakatan guys are catching up very fast for lost time and lost opportunities. Remember that Teoh Beng Hock was very disappointed with what he saw in Selangor.

And today the headlines in The Star  talk about an RM1.0 billion question in Selangor.
  • Explain deals, Selangor told
  • the Selangor government has been challenged to explain how a debt recovery exercise to get back RM392mil from a public listed company ended in questionable deals worth more than RM1bil.
  • state government ..acquired land worth RM392mil and ..assets for RM284mil from
  • Talam Corporation -  total acquisition to RM676mil.
  • state government received a RM392mil grant to facilitate the debt recovery exercise.
  • "Talam owed Unisel and PNSB a total of RM277mil and SAP Holdings RM115mil, and the debts had yet to be settled,"
  • three state entities had never been repaid despite the Pakatan Rakyat state government claiming that Talam had cleared its debts. annual report of Kumpulan Hartanah Sdn Bhd, RM115mil was still outstanding.
  • "The Selangor government should explain the acquisition of RM676mil worth of assets and the use of the RM392mil grant.
  • Before the deal with the Pakatan Selangor government, Talam was still under PN17 with lots of debts. "After the deal with the state government, Talam is no longer under PN17,"

  • "

My view is that it was a corporate exercise to recover debt mixed with some mystery. Talam hutang RM392 million. They had no money.  But they had land. So Talam has to sell the land (hopefully via open tender to the public) then use the land sales proceeds to settle their debt. Simple.
This is where it gets mysterious. The land they had was sold to the State - not via open tender, available to anyone. And it was sold for exactly RM392 million. How did that happen?  This was exactly the same amount owed by Talam to the State.  How did they value the land to be exactly the amount of the RM392.0 million hutang? This is the mystery part.
The State  then got a grant (from whom?) of RM392 million to pay Talam for the land. It is assumed that Talam then paid this money back to the State. (Just go one round around the roundabout - I pay you, then you pay me back).
Well, the MCA guys who are pushing this say that this did not really happen because the hutangees namely Unisel and PNSB who were owed RM277 million and SAP Holdings (RM115 million) have not recorded their debt as being settled. These questions have to be answered.
The Pakatan guys promised to produce a White Paper one year ago. They have not done so yet. The MB says he will do so soon, Insya Allah, kejap nanti, wait lah.  Stuff like that.  Maybe the MB has been busy looking out for videos of him being extremely busy on the job in his office.
But it would appear that Talam has been the greatest beneficiary of all this wheeling and dealing. A PN17 company has got a new lease on life.
My question would be how did the tailor cut a piece of land with his pair of scissors which came to be valued at exactly RM392 million - the exact amount that was owing to the State? Siapa Valuer?

Well folks moving further north, here is news from Kedah - another Pakatan ruled State.

  • Kuin staff wants rector to step down
  • ALOR SETAR: More than 100 Kolej Universiti Insaniah (Kuin) staff held a protest demanding its rector Prof Datuk Dr Jamil Osman to step down.
  • ..on Feb 19, a group of students had held a similar protest in front of Wisma Darulaman.
  • They alleged that Kuin's subsidiary companies relied financially on the university college for funding and this was causing a financial burden to Kuin.
  • ..the situation worsened when ..failed to ensure that the money deducted from the staff's salaries for their respective housing and car loans, were deposited into the banks ..despite their pay slips showing that their salaries have been deducted.

Here is a picture of the staff protesting (without permission from The Star, thanks anyway Dato Wong Chun Wai).

Ayoyo. The poor folks had had their salaries deducted for car and housing loans. But the money was not paid to the bank. This is very, very bad.

This KUIN Kolej in Kedah is under the tutelage of the new PAS gomen and the new PAS Menteri Besar of Kedah.  Here is something I have taken from their own website.

PERTAMBAHAN PROGRAM DAN KULLIYYAH  -   Pada era YAB Menteri Besar Kedah, Dato' Seri Ustaz Haji Azizan Bin Abdul Razak menjadi Pengerusi Lembaga Pengarah INSANIAH, beliau telah melantik Prof Dato' Dr Jamil Osman sebagai Rektor INSANIAH yang keempat pada 1 Mei 2008.

Enough said.  Folks, so if Pakatan wins, maybe this Prof Dato' Dr Jamil Osman can be Minister of Education?

I think the Pakatan guys have learned all the ropes extremely very fast. What do you think? I think they have graduated.

Part 2 - Hishamuddin's Incompetence : An Election Issue

Posted: 03 Jul 2012 10:36 PM PDT

Wow, the comments are pouring in (for the previous post "Hishamuddin Sleeping On The Job").  Broadly they touch on :

i. undesirable foreigners in the country
ii. foreigners committing crimes
iii. the crime rate and
iv. the incompetence of the Home Minister.

I have decided to reproduce some of them because I think they are relevant. Some of the information is shocking so I have decided to highlight them in red bold.

I really hope the Police, the Home Ministry, the Immigration and the MInistry of Higher Education read all this. Here goes.

I hope this is false. But if this is true, I want to know why is this piece of news is being block from public knowledge.

As seen on TV this morning on CNA (Channel News Asia) which is blocked in Malaysia TV, there is a syndicate of men/s in KL for the last 24hours stabbing and robbing their victims in broad daylight and crowded places. The 1st incident was yesterday at around 4pm in Puduraya as the girl was getting on a bus back to Ipoh, as she was going up the guy was coming down and of sudden she was stab but survive, she was rob only. Next incident at 5.30pm in Low Yat going across to Berjaya Time Square two girls after work heading to Berjaya from Low Yat one of them were stab and rob apparently she died from her injuries the other was not however harm. 3rd incident was in KLCC at 6.30pm another girl was stab and killed while she was heading to her car after work, as the CCTV showed the killer could only been seen from the back, it seem that he studied the place before committing the crime. All this happen in a day with 1 hour apart from each other and suspected the same person. Some of the shopping complex has ordered to close or step up security.

Please to all my fellow ladies colleagues, again please ensure your surroundings and watch your step in crowded places. They want your money but also they do not you to identify them as they are not covered with mask. So please very careful. They have speculated that the person might be in Selangor and some of the shopping complex is on high alert. Precautions at Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley, One U and Subang Parade.

The gomen should not be trumpeting its arrests. It should be trumpeting its successful prosecutions and the criminals jailed for long long period, including the death penalty for kidnappers.

You want to know why crime is so high nowadays ? It's because the criminals know they can get away with it. They have become blatant because they know they won't be caught or if caught, they won't be successfully prosecuted.

Tell me - what happened to the Nayati kidnap suspects ? Were they ever charged ? What happened to the mastermind said to be travelling in Europe ? Interpol lost sight of the guy ?

Our politicians are too busy stealing from the rakyat while the police are too busy watching the opposition politicians. Where do they have time to solve the crime issues ?

Tuan Syed,

I fully agree with you that Hishammudin Hussein Onn must be replaced and time and time again this "Menteri Amaran Dalam Negeri" has displayed incompetence par excellence. Frankly one is unable to make out if he is plainly stupid or excemplary incompetent.

It is under his indifferent watch has Malaysia become a magnet for all types of questionable visitors and dubious students entering the country. Once we could have controlled the influx of Indonesian illegals but we lost the fight to prevent the undocumented Indonesians from slipping into the country. Today these Indonesians almost control the petty trading in many parts of Kuala Lumpur. In fact it may be timely for the relevant authorities to consider changing the name Chow Kit Road to something more Indonesian like JL. General Sudirman or Pekan Madura.

Now, coming back to Johor Bahru one remembers the recent furore when it was alleged that Lim Guan Eng had said that one is more likely to get kidnapped in Singapore. Yesterday's Malaysian papers tried to downplay the harrowing experience of Singaporean family being victims of robbery and attempted kidnapping in Johor Bahru. This incident is prime time news in Singapore.

As a Johorean, I can honestly say that Johor Bahru is not a safe city. This city is teeming with suspicious characters and particularly foreigners. The Johor coastline makes it a magnet for foreigners to slip into Johor. I believe there are more than 20 "laluan tikus" into Johor. Then there are the "pyjamas" loitering around Johor Bahru. These Afghan and Pakistani looking characters are even running businesses in town, I have a deep suspicion that these characters may be awaiting their boat to Auztralia and Johor Bahru may just be a staging post. A year ago in Johor we even had a case of 199 Indonesian illegals and overstayers chartering a plane to take them back to Indonesia. They were caught in the nick of time before they were to board the chartered plane.

The CPO of Johor has a propensity to regularly reel out statistics about falling crime statistics. According to him last year some 320 Singaporeans became victims of crime in Johor. That would mean an average one Singaporean each day is a victim of crime in Johor.

Each time an incident like the recent one, one immediately hears about atask force being formed and suddenly an increased presence which within weeks then tapers off. In fact it would be good to know since 2008 how many CCTV's have been installed year by year in Jobor Bahru and importantly how many are in working condition.

Johor Bahru is the southern gateway into Malaysia and last year some 14 million Singaporeans visited or entered Malaysia via Johor Bahru. Singaporeans are the life blood of the JohorBahru economy. Regretfully, , in Hishammuddin we have a Home Minister who knows next to nothing about homeland security or fighting crime.

It is time the CPO have a townhall meeting with the people of Johor Bahru. The people of Johor Bahru will be able to.give better crime prevention and effective policing ideas then the clueless Hishamuddin. Any wonder why he does not look like a winnable candidate for BN for the Sembrong parliamentary seat.

Dear Tuan Syed,
I'm a student at UTM..have you ever been to this university before?

The majority of the students now were no longer Malaysian, instead this university have been flooded with Iranian! The main reason they came here was to get 'easy' diploma, degree, master and phd from this university..even the lecturers here are too generous in giving mark to them..they even dare to bring notes during final examination! and this happen in front of me but what shock me the most was the attitude of the lecturers towards these hideous manners

Simple crime prevention and effective policing.
A couple of years I made a proposal to Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru to implement a
policy which is done in some countries abroad like Japan. Make it a requirement for
any property renting out his property to foreigners to lodge the complete details including
their photographs with the local authority and the local police station so that the authorities
can have a data base of the foreigners renting homes in Johor Bahru.

Sadly this idea was never accepted.

Another proposal was for the local authorities to go on a shop to shop check and verify the status of foreigners and particularly the "pyjamas" (Afgahan and Pakistani ) looking characters and the Iranians who are operating businesses. There is one shop in Tampoi selling household furniture one would not even buy for one's maid. There are hardly any customers but its been more than and the shop is still operating. Next, this Ramadan just go to Giant Supermarket Tampoi and see middle eastern characters selling middle eastern food and wares. Of course Hishamuddin wont know anything about all this because bukankah dia "Menteri Amaran Dalam Negeri". Tugas dia bagi amaran kepada sidia dan sidia aje.

i am not so worry about South America gang,or Nagerian Gang.I am more worry about Indonesian gang.

Recently four of them came to my house at 3 am to rob my family. They are armed with Parang. They took my son as a hostages and try to use him to knock my bedroom.Luckly I had a pistol and manage to kill one of them.

On exemaning his passport which was issue in Bantam,The police discover he had been coming to Malaysia by boat thro Setualang Johore Baru.Every month he enter the country and left by end of month.

My question to our immigration, did they ask him why he is coming to Malaysia every month. Is he a worker or a tourist or a businessman.I remember when I went to London, was asked by immigration officer what the purpose of my ivisit. If my answer busines meeing,he will ask what kind of busness, who you are meeting n London, where are you going to stay.If I cannot ivehem satifactory answer ,he will deny my entry.

When an Indonesian Embassy refer to Batam immegration office to trace his adress in Batam, they discover his adress in Batam is not his house. That mean he is not from Batam.Until today nbody claim his body.

This Indonesian robbers are vary active in Kota Damansara,Rawang,Taman Tun,Taman Melawati, ampang,Bukir Antarabangsa. They only rob Malay house and normally their local contact (Indonesianwho live here) do the ground work.

Some of them use black magic and if they cant anything from your house, they will rape your wife or your daughter.

... I have but to agree with your opinion on Hishamuddin Tun Hussin being the Minister of Home Affairs (KDN). It is a very powerful ministry of our country. But the minister in charge appears to be as NOT that powerful. As a result we could see so many happenings in this country which should not happen. His lackadaisical attitude in monitoring the ministry does not help much. Many things appear to be allowed to go unchecked thus creating feelings of unsafe being in this country. Please Hisham. Please listen to the woos and feelings of your people. Please wake up and do something drastic to let the people know that you exist in the KDN...
