Posted: 30 Mar 2013 09:14 PM PDT PAS says the quest to takeover Putrajaya in the 13th general election is not everything about power but 'a victory for Islam'. It other words, PAS wishes to have final say in matters pertaining to Federal administration. If Pakatan Rakyat rules, PAS wants to introduce Islamic Law or 'hudud' to 28 million Malaysians, amend the Constitution and 'islamise' all aspects of the law... ya da, ya da, ya da... PAS leaders are forgetting that DAP and PKR are with them. People like Karpal Singh and Lim Guan Eng are there to put a halt to their Islamic dreams and objectives. How to achieve its political goal with such a political pact? I wonder how PAS still talks Islamic Law, al-Quran and Sunnah when it cooperates with the 'enemies of Islam?' - that's how they described DAP before Pakatan Rakyat was established. The only way for PAS to realise their political dreams (if their leaders got the balls) is to leave Pakatan dan contest the national poll on its own merit and strength. Will they? Unlikely... PAS knows well enough that such a dream cannot be achieved as long as it stays with Pakatan. However, they hope Karpal and Guan Eng would help implement the Islamic Law since the party has given permission to non-Muslims to contest under its logo. |
