Two Escapees Shot Dead

Posted: 10 Jan 2013 01:34 AM PST

This is from The Star :
  • Two escaped detainees shot dead in Bukit Mertajam (Update)
  • Two of the seven detainees shot dead at Kampung Padang Ibu in Bukit Mertajam.
  • tip-off that the two suspects were spotted in a car in the Kubang Semang area about 12.30pm.
  • "car skidded into river. Both men alighted and one of them, Mohd Fairus Adam, 31, opened fire
  • "The police officers shot back and both suspects were hit,"
  • The other suspect who was shot dead was Mohd Noor Ahmad Mustafa, aged 28.
Well this is a tragic turn of events. Two people have been shot dead. Where did the escapee get firearms so quickly? The Police have to investigate this too.

If the Police escort had done their duty then this tragedy would not have happened. Seven detainees escaped from the Police escort by faking a fight and throwing maggi mee powder on the faces of the Policemen. We sometimes see this on tv - in the funnier movies.

This is not the first time that detainees have escaped quite easily from Police custody, especially while under escort. Now there are calls that detainees should be handcuffed behind their backs. Anyone can slip their handcuffed hands under their legs.

Detainees and prisoners will attempt to escape if they see weaknesses or loopholes in the system.  Constant vigilance is a good solution.

Kelantan To Ban Women Pillion Riders?

Posted: 09 Jan 2013 08:13 PM PST

Topik perbincangan : Woman, woman, woman, sex, sex, sex.

Please also click on this link to Zamkata's :  KELANTAN AKAN IKUT LANGKAH ACHEH LARANG WANITA KANGKANG

This is why Chua Soi Lek is right again. This is creeping jihadism. The jihadists and religious freaks try to sneak in their strange views little by little. This is happening in Aceh, in Kelantan and in our Government schools and the education system.

Last year there was this news about Aceh (at the Northern  tip of Sumatera) which is now entering the Club of Doom.  The religious authority there had banned women from wearing pants. Here is the news :
  • Furore over pants ruling
  • Morality Police (Wilayahtul Hisbah) hauling up women wearing tight trousers.
  • make women hand over tight trousers on the spot.
  • CLAD in dark jeans, a long-sleeved top and headscarf, Henny is exasperated.
  • "Why is it that it is always the woman's body that is subject to this or that regulation? It's a pity our freedom on how to dress is being taken away from us.
  • "And what about the men? What regulations do they have to shield their eyes?" she adds pointedly.
And then yesterday the news reported that now in Aceh, women are not allowed to sit normally (straddling) when they ride pillion on motorbikes. The woman pillion rider  cannot sit like in these pictures anymore . They have to sit sideways.

Here is the news :
  • LHOKSEUMAWE, Aceh –  Authorities in Aceh pressing ahead with Islamic law that would ban female passengers from straddling motorbikes
  • Aceh introduced a version of Shariah in 2009
  • The Aceh laws regulate women's dress and public morality, require shops and other places to close at prayer time, and are enforced by a special unit. Punishments can include public caning.
So this is Aceh now.   Do they provide enough clean water to drink in Aceh? Do they collect their garbage on time? Can they create useful jobs and businesses for their people (other than usahawan ubat kuat lelaki, kosmetik jamu, usahawan herba and pejuang berani mati?)  I doubt it. So they focus on what they know best : woman, woman, woman, sex, sex, sex.

And they are stupid laws. Why ban the woman who rides pillion and not the woman who sits in front and drives the bike? What is the difference from the woman who rides pillion and the woman who sits in front?

Not long after this they will say that the women cannot ride motorbikes at all. After that women cannot work, women should stay at home etc. Just like the Taliban.

They just make life difficult for themselves.

Now here is my question : If this is shariah in Aceh then when are they going to implement it in Kelantan? Takkan syariah di Aceh lain daripada syariah di Kelantan? Takkan tuhan dia lain-lain. There cannot be a different shariah law in Aceh and a different shariah law in Kelantan. So when will Kelantan ban women pillion riders from sitting normally on motorbikes?

If they insist that women sit sideways it is dangerous to their safety. You can easily fall off the bike and get hurt. The ostats never think about all this. To make things easier for their otak, ultimately they may just ban women from riding motorbikes in Aceh. Period.  Just wait and see.

Halal Elevators

Someone sent me this from Free Malaysia Today:
PETALING JAYA: The Crystal Crown hotel here has signboards erected next to three elevators which state that only "halal" goods can be transported in the lifts and the hotel management has not commented.
A visit to the hotel earlier today to scout for the signboards, which have been making headway in the social media, resulted in the findings of three identical signs on three floors.
FMT understands that these signboards are located on levels B1, B2 and B3.

A further sign on top of the elevators' doors state that these lifts are "for staff only" and attempts to speak to the management have been futile.
An attempt to seek the views of both the attendants and car jockey were fruitless as well with both saying,: "I don't know…ask counter….ask counter," referring to the front desk.
However, the Islamic Consumer Association of Malaysia (PPIM) had an explanation for these signboards.
"Maybe the purpose of these elevators is to cater to kitchens and places where food is stored," said PPIM chief activist Nazim Johan.
His claims may be justifiable because as far as FMT understands, the three lifts are only accessible via the staircase and not the main elevator in the lobby.
He said that both the Malaysian Department of Islamic Development (Jakim) and the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) have very strict conditions when it comes to the handling of halal food.
"The hotel definitely will do everything they can to prevent losing their halal certification as it would mean a huge loss of business for them," he added.
Speaking to FMT, Nazim cited the recent case two days ago of Corus Hotel in KL having their halal certificate revoked by Jakim and said that Crystal Crown would not want to suffer the similar fate.
The hotel management, Jakim and Jais were all unreachable for comment.
