Well folks what do you know - the DAP is having their "national convention" soon on December 16th 2012. This is an election year for the DAP - they will be "choosing" their leaders. This is actually a joke. Why do they even bother?

I have written about this before, more than once. Here let me give you the outcome of the DAP's party elections even before they have their national convention. Lim Kit Siang will prevail as whatever it is he prevails at. Lim Guan Eng will prevail. Both father and son will hold the most important positions in the party.

All the pro Lim Guan Eng people will be returned to office, possibly even move higher up in the DAP. Theresa Kok, Ronnie Liu, Tony Pua and the Ngeh-Nga Tag Team will be 'elected'. This is a certainty. There may be a chopping down of the Karpal clan. Papa Sing may lose his Chairmanship - he has been an embarrasment for the DAP by picking that hudud fight with the PAS. Also his insistence on the 'one candidate one seat' for the upcoming elections is not according to the wishes of father and son. For this intransigence even the two baby Sings may pay some price.

Now here is how the DAP fixes things. This time around there will be 65 candidates running for 20 Central Executive Committee seats. Now folks, in the bad old days, the UMNO boys could buy up over 2000 delegates to the UMNO conventions. Do you think the UMNO boys cannot handle just 65 delegates? That is less than two bus loads.

The question is how and who chose these 65 delegates in the first place? It is less than two busloads.

Then it gets more scary. From these less than two busloads of candidates, 20 will become the 'Chosen Ones'. The 'Chosen Ones' get to sit in the Central Executive Committee. Now it is these 20 'Chosen Ones' who will then choose ALL the main office bearers including the secretary general, axe man, chorus girls etc. And they call this democracy? Only 20 people decide?

Now just remember these two words - 'father and son'. If this was the name of a horse at the horse races, take all your money, all your EPF savings, all your Amanah Saham money, close your eyes and just bet on the horse named 'father and son'. You will surely win the jackpot. Sure one. Who says the outcomes cannot be predicted in a democratic party?

Those who do not "show enough love" for the party leaders like YB Wee Choo Keong will probably not make it this time. (Alamak I forgot, YB Wee is no more in the DAP. He got kicked out some time ago). Teng Chang Khim may not make it. Reason : not "showing enough love" for the leadership.

Folks just for your information Lim Kit Siang has now held the reins of the DAP for over 46 years. This is longer than Chairman Mao Tse Tung of China or Comrade Kil Il Sung of another democratic party in Korea. Lim Kit Siang is only four years shy of rivalling Queen Victoria who was Queen and Empress of the British Empire for 50 years (or longer??). Lim Kit Siang will definitely be running for Parliament as well.
