Malaysia Is An Islamic Fundamentalist Country

Posted: 09 Dec 2012 11:23 PM PST

  • 1. On 29 Sept 2001, Dr Mahathir Mohamad famously declared:  "Umno wishes to state loudly that Malaysia is an Islamic country.  If Malaysia is not an Islamic country because it does not implement the hudud, then there are no Islamic countries in the world."
  • 2. Then on 17 June 2002, the prime minister went one up by stating that Malaysia is an Islamic fundamentalist country.
  • 3. What is the implication of Dr M's declarations? (You have to pause and THINK! beyond the opposition polemic.
  • The PM proclaimed us as having already succeeded in achieving Islamic country status. Dapat cop 'Sirim' dah. Certified "Islamic country" cukup syarat by Dr M and Umno.
  • And what was the feature of Dr M's Islamic country in 2001? No hudud.
  • Or to read it another way, there was/is no need for establishing hudud to make Malaysia any more Islamic than we already were.
  • Walau tanpa hudud pun Malaysia dah cukup Islam. Itu kata Dr M berdasarkan ketetapan para ulama yang berkongsi ilmu mereka dengan (mantan) perdana menteri kita.
  • 4. I would interpret Dr M as preferring civil law. He was at the pinnacle of power for 22 years. And he was a very powerful prime minister. If he had wanted hudud, we would have assuredly gotten hudud.
  • Ponder on what kind of a man was Mahathir as PM. You can look up his 22 years worth of public speeches in the national archives.
  • 5. As icing on the cake of Dr M's wry and wicked humour, he even declared in 2002 Malaysia to be a "fundamentalist" Islamic country.
  • No hudud required. Dah cukup Islam pun. Itu ikut Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia.
  • In the Dr M-Umno-controlled Malaysia, there was no nationwide or national-level agitation for hudud to be implemented.

My comments : So says Helen Ang about Tun Dr Mahathir in her Blog. What is a Islamic fundamentalist country? This means any country where the fundamentals of Islam are made available in large quantity to the people - to all the people and not just the Muslims.

Why so? Because

i.   a fundamentalist Islamic country inevitably will include non Muslim citizens.
ii.  a fundamentalist Islamic country will be so perfect, syumul, ehsan, hassan, hussein, husna, haseena and what not that even the non Muslims will be breaking down the Immigration checkpoints to gain entry into the fundamentalist Islamic country.

Those fundamentals would include

1. providing adequate food for its citizens. Before Dr Mahathir became PM, too many Malaysians could eat meat only about once a week (chicken, kambing, beef etc). After DR M became PM Malaysians  have beef or chicken or sotong or fish or whatever three times a day. There are varieties of meat even at the simple stalls.

In Egypt until today there are restaurants that sell ONLY pasta with no meat. Pasta boiled in water with no salt and served with some hot sauce.  Pretty soon they may be eating grass. The same goes for Pakistan, Sudan, Syria and other countries - where the PAS dunggus send their kids to study "religion".

2. Providing adequate and safe housing for its citizens. Here are some 'bandar baru' pictures.

This picture above is another bandar baru. You can find these neat, well laid out bandar baru houses with water, electricity, sewerage, telephone and ASTRO  throughout Malaysia. Here are some high rise housing projects for the "poor" in KL :

For comparison here are some houses in "Islamic" countries. This one is Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad.

This one is in Kelantanistan, in the CBD or Central Business District, Kota Bharu :

3.  Provide adequate education facilities and opportunities.

Here are some schools, colleges, universities and training centres in Malaysia :

This is "sekolah menengah" could be anywhere in Malaysia. So far no suicide bombers have come out of our sekolah menengah system.

This is a private University.  No suicide bombers here either.

These are just some pictures. You can find all these and more throughout Malaysia.  It is the duty of every Islamic country to provide these fundamentals for all  its citizens. During 22 years of Dr Mahathir's rule he provided a lot of these fundamentals for the people.

Now here is a sekolah pondok in Kelantanistan. What do you think? Do you think this is Islamic?

Religious People Tell Lies

Posted: 09 Dec 2012 06:35 PM PST

Have I told you this before - I have discovered since about 27 years ago - that the religious people are the world's worst liars. All of them. Without telling lies they cannot sustain their falsehoods.

Fast forward to Kota Bharu, about the summons for khalwat issued to non Muslims, the PAS dunggus have accused The Star of concocting a "vile report without any proof or evidence".

Here is The Star today :
  • "On Saturday, party secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali was quoted by the party's online portal Harakah Daily as saying that the claim that non-Muslims had been arrested for "khalwat" in Kelantan was an "outright lie" and an attempt to discredit the Kelantan state government.
  • Mustafa criticised The Star, saying that the newspaper had concocted a "vile report without any proof or evidence", and he believed the state government might consider taking legal action.
Well The Star has published a picture of the khalwat summons issued by the Kota Bharu Municipal Council to the two non Muslims in Kota Bharu. A picture is worth a thousand words. Here is the picture :

Conclusion : Depa bodoh.

Profound Reads?

Posted: 09 Dec 2012 03:43 PM PST

I came across the following article in The Star about Tan Sri Francis Yeoh the present Capo of the YTL Family.  It is well known that Francis Yeoh is a born again christian who belongs to a church in Brickfields. Not only is he a born again but also quite active in his church. Which is his right. I keep saying this is a free country.

The article :  A love for profound reads talks about Francis Yeoh's love of books. You can read the whole article through the link above but here  are some points to note :

  • "Did you know that people used plants to tell time' before it was invented the way we know it?"
  • "Have you ever wondered why waves are humbled on the beach?"
  • He actually knows the answers.
I think these points seek to poke fun at Francis Yeoh. Leaves turn yellow in autumn. The famous cherry blossoms appear in early spring. Everyone knows that. The wild durians fruit at a certain time of the year and the petai also flowers after the hot season (any Orang Asli here who can confirm this?). Waves are "humbled" on the beach because of the gradient? Which absorbs the wave's energy?

It also comes across (in no subtle form) that Francis Yeoh plus the article are prosyletizing their born again faith :
  • "Which book can you read a thousand times over and still find fascinating?" he says in reference to the Christian Bible.
  • There are strong biblical perspectives to his talk.
Continuing in his religious vein, Francis Yeoh says
  • "If we were to avoid the little details of this world, we'd be missing out," he remarks. "Nice cars, a bit of good clothes, a bit of good food these are just crumbs of happiness. How can they sustain us?"
Hmmm ... crumbs of happiness? How can they sustain us? Well here is a picture of some of those crumbs of happiness. This is Francis Yeoh's humongous house in a posh suburb of KL.

The house sits on about two acres of prime land, has a 32,000 sq ft built up area,  9 bedrooms,  multiple kitchens, at least 13 bathrooms, a chapel big enough to host small weddings and a  ballroom that sits 200 people. The house cost RM45.0 million.  Not bad for crumbs of happiness. How can they sustain us? Very well I am sure.

Francis Yeoh also says the following :

  • read books debunking the concept of evolution and explaining the Big Bang Theory after interviewing Christian scientists around the world.
  • read fiction in his youth but finds that those authors are unable to sustain his intellectual curiosity.
  • "It can't complete me," he says. "When there is so much wonder in this world, so much to take in, I'm sorry, I don't have the time for anything less."
Oh well. Here is some other "intellectually stimulating" stuff that I found. Francis Yeoh would surely want to read this a thousand times.

11 When they were near Jebus and the day was almost gone, the servant said to his master, "Come, let's stop at this city of the Jebusites and spend the night."

(My comments : So Jebus is mentioned in the Bible ok? It was not just Homer Simpson who made it up. Jangan marah saya ok?)

22 While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, "Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him."

23 The owner of the house went outside and said to them, "No, my friends, don't be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don't do this outrageous thing. 24 Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But as for this man, don't do such an outrageous thing."

25 But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. 26 At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight.

27 When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold. 28 He said to her, "Get up; let's go." But there was no answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home.

29 When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine, limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel. 30 Everyone who saw it was saying to one another, "Such a thing has never been seen or done, not since the day the Israelites came up out of Egypt. Just imagine! We must do something! So speak up!"

This is wild stuff man. They threw two innocent women to the ravaging horde. One of the women - the concubine - died. After she died, her master cut up her body, limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel.

Can I ask a less than intellectual question? Why the hell did he do such a thing? Why cut up a dead woman's body into twelve parts? Or six parts? Why send them throughout Israel? If this is something good, should we do it today as well? This is intellectually stimulating? You can read this a thousand times?

By the way this story is not found in the Quran. This story is found in the Bible, in the Book of Judges Chapter 19, New International Version (NIV). This is called the story of  "A Levite and His Concubine". A Levite my dear friends refers to a holy man, an ostat.  A holy man kept a concubine. She was sacrificed to a ravaging horde then killed, her body cut up into 12 pieces and sent by FedEx Courier (BioLogistics) throughout Israel.

Some of you Bible thumpers might say that this is the Old Testament and not the New Testament and that you dont believe in the Old Testament anymore. This is an old trick ok. Are you suggesting that the Old  Testament is NOT the word of god? What blasphemy? What about the Ten Commandments then - they are also in the Old Testament. So you dont believe in the Ten Commandments anymore?

Here is more. Looking at the hate filled nature of too many Muslims, some people might think that this is from the Quran :   "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple."

In other words to 'be my disciple'  you must hate your father, mother, wife, children, brothers and sisters.  Well folks this is NOT from the Quran. It is from the Bible, Luke 14:26. That is the New Testament.  You can read it a thousand times as well.

Here is something else from the New Testament. This is where Mother Theresa's tudung comes from as well.  This one you can read for yourself. It did not make sense when it was written and it still does not make sense.

I Corinthians Chapter 11 –

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.  (Head of the woman is man?? Come again?)

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. (Why? Can someone explain? This is New Testament)

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. (Huh? Ini bahasa apa dia cakap?)

6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. (I know a group of women who will say that this is a sexist book and that it must be banned. Where are those women? Maybe they have joined Waistlines Anoynymous?)

7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.  (This one even if you read a thousand times, still tak boleh faham. Francis Yeoh also sure cannot  understand. This is New Testament.)

8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.

9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. (More sexist male chauvinism here. ..woman created for the man. Read this a thousand times?)
