Pakatan gets foreign cybertroopers!

Posted: 06 Dec 2012 06:30 PM PST

Rumours are rife that Pakatan Rakyat was engaging cybertroopers from beyond our shore, including Singapore to help them sharpen their knife against Barisan Nasional. DAP too is said to have opened up an office in the republic.

Sign of desperado, if it's true.

However, it's no shocker if we look at how the party quacks for support. They will do anything beyond our comprehension to bring down BN in the upcoming general election.

They wouldn't mind engaging thugs to stab their own supporters and blamed it on BN, just like what the Americans did in Iraq and Afghanistan – killed one or two marines as a license to murder dozens of local civilians. Politics of malevolence!

Dirty or not, Pakatan doesn't care. It's leader Anwar Ibrahim must get his PM job in the next general election and by hook or by crook, anything goes.

The opposition had a better cyber war team during the 12th general elections that led to their success in Perak, Selangor, Penang, Kedah and Kelantan. BN was caught off-guard then.

As we inch toward GE13, the cyber war gets more intense and ferocious with both sides using whatever platform available. The opposition has always been known for their dirty strategy in the 'cyber war' even before GE12 although most Malaysians were still not used to getting cyber information from the Internet.

Blogs, Face Book, Twitter and Friendster for example are now heavily used and each of these platforms has its own subscribers and viewers. The number of Internet readers has reached billions. In Malaysia alone, FB registered more than 9 million users.

Realising how stiff the cyber competition is, Pakatan moves ahead by engaging some cybertroopers from Singapore, Indonesia and even from a few Western countries to assist them. There are already blogs and news portal run by them here, in Malaysia.

Why not? They got all the money needed to play dirty!

And that explains how the dirty propaganda about Scorpenes' deal, Altantuya and other issues found its root in some countries, especially France, Singapore, Britain, Australia and elsewhere. As our government is not monitoring the arrival/departure of some foreigners close to the opposition leaders, we can't determine how many are already on Pakatan's payroll.

As more Malaysians are aware of its tactic, including detecting its truth and lie, PR has to find a new dimension to its cyber approach.  They have to take a drastic measure by adding more of their troopers and getting training services from outside the country.

PR didn't realise that engaging Singapore opposition cybertroopers would affect their relation with Singapore. The cybertroopers were the ones who helped the opposition won a few seats in the republic's election last year.

Although PAP won, the tactics used by the opposition did help them reduced the percentage of votes for the ruling party.

We are aware how Anwar tried to seek some assistance from Australia, particularly in sending a team of observers for the next national poll. However, he failed when the Aussies refused as they didn't want to meddle with our domestic politics.

That makes him and his party more desperate. As Singapore cybertroopers had shown some merits, their service was sought. Perhaps this is DAP's idea because it is also rumoured that DAP has opened an office in Singapore.

Lim Guan Eng is said to have set up a DAP office to attack BN from across our southern border. The latest issue regarding Scorpene where the French lawyers held a meeting with some PR leaders, took place at the office. They also met some Singapore cybertroopers there.

It looks so dirty all around but we can understand why. Anwar has forgotten that Singapore intelligence is keeping some of his 'secrets'. Should PR continues engaging the cyber war team, Anwar will have problems with the republic's leaders.
