Najib's newest adviser

Posted: 18 Mar 2014 07:17 AM PDT

Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak today appointed former Anwar Ibrahim's senior aide Ezam Mohd Nor, 47, as director of communications for the Finance Ministry, effective March 15.

Ezam, who last month denied he was resigning as a senator, will 'help the Prime Minister in 'addressing issues regarding the efforts to transform the economy'.

Such an important position!
In a statement here today, the ministry said Mohamad Ezam was appointed communications director after he quit as a senator on March 5, 2014.
Mohamad Ezam was first appointed senator in 2010, it said.
"His main task is to help the prime minister, who is also finance minister, address issues, starting this year and the years to come, regarding the government's moves to transform the economy," it said.
Mohamad Ezam, 47, graduated from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa with a Bachelor of Economics degree.
From 1996 to 1998, Mohamad Ezam was political secretary to the finance minister.-- Bernama
He will add to PM's list of advisers, of course, some of whom came under heavy criticism from the media and social media players for being incompetent and unqualified.

Any complaint over Ezam's appointment?

I reserve my comment...

FOOTNOTE: I remember Ezam claims of having some boxes of proof about Anwar's wrongdoings as Finance Minister. I believe many people are still waiting for it.

Pakatan MPs 'no use'

The Opposition will only add to the confusion. They will and cannot contribute idea but will only hammer the government over the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

We need a constructive opposition...(repeat) a constructive opposition but what we have in them is a bunch of negative-thinking Member of Parliament who thinks they know how to manage the crisis better, or they could also locate the plane.

And for that reason, acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has excluded them from a briefing to MPs at 8.30PM today.
An opposition MP took acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein to task for only inviting Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs to a briefing tomorrow on MH370 to be held at a Kuala Lumpur hotel.
Fuziah Salleh (PKR-Kuantan, pic) said this was communicated through hand-delivered or faxed letters using the ministry letterhead informing them of the 8.30pm briefing.
"This is not according to Parliamentary rules. We also represent the rakyat, they should include us in the briefing and if confidential information is involved, we can take an oath of secrecy," she said debating the Royal Address today.
However, Datuk Noh Omar (BN-Tanjung Karang) interjected her and said that if opposition MPs were invited to the briefing, the information revealed would be disseminated on social media even before the briefing could end.
Noh Omar also said that it was the prerogative of the minister on who he wanted to invite to the MH370 briefing.
However, Fuziah soldiered on, saying that Hishammuddin was duty bound to explain why the letters were only given to BN MPs.
"Why not invite us? We are also keen to know on the developments on the missing flight," she said.
Fuziah and friends can read the newspaper for news on MH370. I believe she can also operate the Intenet.

Why do they want to attend? To bash Hisham and the government again? Their leader Anwar Ibrahim did just that last week, chiding at PM Najib's statement over the missing plane.

So, better stay out... it will be less headache for Hisham and his team.

After all, you guys had never treated the missing plane as important. The Kajang by-election is. How many of you have organised special prayers for the plane, its passengers and crew members? You only know how to criticise and criticise!
