| Congrats Zahid, Shafie, Hisham and Mukhriz Posted: 19 Oct 2013 05:21 PM PDT  Congrats to Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Shafie Apdal and Hishammuddin Tun Hussein for retaining their Umno VP post. I made the right choice and I am happy about it although some fellow bloggers and readers slammed me for my previous posting.  However, my heart goes out to Mukhriz Mahathir. He is the 'true winner' for coming close enough to clinch one of the three VP seats. I must congratulate him too! But as I mentioned a few days ago, Mukhriz can wait for another three more years when Umno calls for another election. I will also wait for that moment. There are no losers. Umno is our party. Choosing the leadership is part of the democratic process we uphold. The bottom line is, we need to keep Umno as resilient as it could be. And as usual, there are calls to 'rapatkan barisan' after each and every party election. Some will, some just won't!  |
