All Your Tweets Stored At Library Of Congress Posted: 05 Jan 2013 02:00 AM PST Your tweets are being stored at the Library of Congress Library of Congress has amassed 170 billion tweets WASHINGTON (AP) — The Library of Congress says it's amassed about 170 billion tweets since it began collecting an archive of all Twitter messages in 2010. Twitter is donating its archive to the library, going back to the first one posted in 2006. Library Director of Communications Gayle Osterberg wrote in a blog post Friday that the volume of tweets it receives has grown from 140 million daily in February 2011 to nearly half a billion tweets each day in late 2012. Librarians have been developing a system to preserve and organize the collection. Now the library is shifting its focus to handle the technical challenges of making such a massive archive available to researchers. The library may work with a private partner to provide access because its own search technology is slow. I dont Tweet.

DAP Vote Scandal Getting Worse : Where Are The Ballots? Posted: 04 Jan 2013 08:37 PM PST Folks the DAP's party voting scandal is getting worse.  Now they are blaming it on Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet.  This is the most stupid thing anyone can say.   For the DAP's information, in 2012 Microsoft's revenue was RM220 Billion. 1.0 billion computers in the world are running Microsoft software. (That is about 90% of all computers in the world)  And the DAP now blames Microsoft for their failure to tally up 1,800 votes?  Yesterday the DAP election director, the guy in charge of tallying up the election results said something even more strange. Here is the news report : When asked if he still had in his possession the manually recorded vote tabulation (DAP election director) Pooi Weng Keong said the matter was beyond him now. Met at another function later, Lim Guan Eng declined to comment on whether the party would hold a recount of the votes. So lets tabulate this : DAP election director has resigned.  Gag order has been imposed.  Dont know what has happened to the manually recorded vote tabulation.  Dont know what has happened to the ballot papers.  No recount of votes. Here is an extra large picture of Pooi Weng Kong : I blew up the picture so that everyone can see exactly what Pooi Weng Kong looks like.  Please dont come and tell me that this fellow in the picture is a Malay guy ok. If you think this guy in the picture is a Malay, then go and have your eyes checked. Muka China, rambut China, mata China, hidung China, warna kulit China - so dont come and tell me that this guy is a Malay.  When asked what has happened to the manually recorded vote tabulation, Pooi Weng Kong the DAP's election director said  "the matter was beyond him now" I say kawan, what type of answer is that?  Where are the ballot papers? Where are the manually recorded tally sheets? This only raises another question : Has all the evidence been destroyed already?  Asked about a recount, Lim Guan Eng just declined to comment.   You mean the DAP does not even follow normal procedures? If there is any dispute or controversy in vote counting, the immediate thing to do is to recount the ballots. Apa susah sangat?  Because you have already said that there was a technical glitch in Microsoft Excel's Spreadsheet. Please dont say that you have now corrected the situation by using the same Microsoft Excel ! That would be dua kali bodoh. But to be able to do a recount, the ballot papers must be available. Where are the ballot papers? Have the ballots been destroyed already?   That will not be the proper thing to do. It will raise even more questions.   The right thing to do is have another physical recount of the ballots. I say this because The Star reports here  that some members of the DAP's CEC actually wanted to just cover up the whole matter : "When the outcome of the audit was presented to the CEC, a discussion was held on the impact of going public with it.  One view was that the results had been announced, there was no challenge to it and they should let sleeping dogs lie." Wah, like that also can ah? Fuiyyo.    Ramon Navaratnam said DAP should engage internationally recognised auditors to verify its claim that the error was caused by a technical glitch. Internationally recognised auditors? Fuiyyo. Arthur Andersen boleh kah? They were the auditors for Enron.  Very internationally recognised - even on the planet Mars. The simplest thing to do now will be to physically recount the ballots. If the ballot papers have already been destroyed, then the party elections must be held again - one more time.  This is according to simple procedure. Ask our Election Commission. They are the professionals. In the past the United Nations has requested our Elections Commission to help supervise and monitor elections in other countries.   Compared to the EC, the DAP cannot even be relied upon to supervise elections for the Melaka High School Photography Club.
