Egyptian Salafi urges demolition of Sphinx, pyramids
Radical jihadist leader with Taliban links also connected to destruction of Buddha status in Afghanistan.
Egyptian security authorities are taking seriously threats by a radical Salafist jihadist leader to demolish the Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza
Murgan Salem al-Gohary told Egypt's Dream TV2 channel over the weekend that the Sphinx and pyramids are "idolatrous" and must be destroyed
The newspaper said Gohary is a jihadist leader, had previously helped smash Buddha statues in Afghanistan ten years ago.
"The idols and statutes that fill Egypt must be destroyed. ..just like we did in Afghanistan when we smashed the Buddha statues," Gohary said
In 2001, Taliban blew up a pair of giant Buddhas and smashed a large number of art forms depicting humans.
Gohary traveled to Afghanistan after serving two prison sentences under Hosni Mubarak. After his sojourn in Afghanistan, where he was injured in an US air strike, the Salafist leader ventured to Syria where he was arrested and extradited to Egypt, al- Masry al-Youm said.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry source said officials are taking the threats seriously and have "taken the necessary precautions to prevent violations of the law or any abuses of anything in the public domain or archaeological treasures including the pyramids," according to al-Masry al-Youm.
"They are a source of national income and they bring tourists to Egypt," the security source was cited as saying by al- Masry al-Youm.
Later on Thursday, Egypt's Coalition to Support Tourism said Gohary's threats would harm the country's tourism industry after the international media picked up on the story.
In previous months, there have been a number of reports in the Egyptian and Arab press regarding calls by Egyptian Salafists and foreign Islamists to demolish the pyramids and Sphinx.

My Comments : Well, Egypt does not produce many things which they can sell or export to the world. Millions of Egyptians are poor. The Pyramids, built by the Pharaohs thousands of years ago still generate huge amounts of income for the Egyptian people. Imagine, even thousands of years after they were built, the present day Egyptians get rezeki from the efforts of their great-great grandparents.

The Pharaohs were tyrants. They divided their people into shiah or castes which created divisions in the land. Today the Salafists are worse than the Pharaohs. The Salafis are also as ignorant or jahil as the Pharaohs. Both are idol worshippers.

If the Salafis destroy the Pyramids a significant portion of their tourist income will disappear. Maybe the Egyptians can then eat grass to survive. Grass for breakfast, grass for lunch and grass for dinner. Yum, yum. Yummy grass.

I have been avoiding commenting about what the Rear Admiral's daughter said at that church, and all the hoo haa that has come out of it. To me the whole thing is a stupid waste of time. I think Malaysia will end up in the Club of Doom because so many Muslims waste so much time with useless trivia.

Before I go into the "theology" I just want to point out that the only thing that has come out of this time wasting crap is the hypocrisy and the munafikism of the Pakatan dunggus. The UMNO boys are just being predictably full of themselves.

Lets back track a little. There is an outfit called A.B.I.M. We cannot fault any Martians if they thought these initials represented the Rear Admiral. When the Rear Admiral was leading the ABIM in the 70s and early 80s and later became Rear Admiral, ABIM was at the forefront of going after any Muslims they classified as not being in their same pot of sh*t.

However I believe the ABIM has evolved a bit - very recently (a few weeks ago) I met an ex-president of ABIM who regrets his association with the Rear Admiral. He has also distanced himself from ABIM. Ini bekas presiden ABIM beb !! Earlier this year I had a two hour discussion with one of the most senior stalwarts of ABIM from the 80s and 90s - who also sincerely regrets his association with the Rear Admiral. Ini bekas amir ABIM beb !!

Do you recall Kassim Ahmad? His book was banned under the Rear Admiral's watch. Not only that, it was the ABIM braders at that time who led the charge against Kassim's suggestion (it is a suggestion only) for Muslims to make an attempt at using their brains. That is the gist of the message in Kassim Ahmad's book. Yet the ABIM went after him, assembled some religious goons to yell at Kassim at a so called dialogue and other such crap.

It was also the ABIM braders who invaded the campuses and started imposing all sorts of religious rules on the campuses. Those were the heydays of the ABIM. Do you think any of them would even be caught dead inside a Church? Let alone give a talk saying that it is OK for Muslims to murtad?

If the Pakatan munafiks had any cojones, just go and ask the Rear Admiral - 'apa lu punya kiblat sudah tukar kah? Dulu lu cakap hukum orang sesat, tangkap orang sesat, haram buku Kassim - habis sekarang lu mau cakap apa? Sekarang murtad sudah boleh kah ?'

PAS Youth: No religious freedom for Muslims

PETALING JAYA: Islam, according to PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan, does not advocate religious freedom for Muslims, online portal The Mole reported.
"Islam has never advocated religious freedom as the believers should accept that the religion is the only truth.
"Nasruddin in his blog post cited a verse from Quran (Al Anaam: 153) stating that there is no religious freedom and freedom to choose for a born Muslim, except to surrender himself to Allah," the article stated.
The article drew a comparison between his stand and that of PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar on freedom of religion.

The question to ask is 'what do they mean by 'no religious freedom for Muslims'? Isnt this a stupid idea? First of all how do you know what is the real faith of someone inside his brain or inside his "heart"? As former Perlis Mufti Dr MAZA said how are we going to gauge someone's real faith?

What if on the outside a person claims that he is a Muslim (Arabic name, potong 10%, prays 50 times a day, marries four wives etc) but deep inside his heart he believes in the magical Kamdenu from Hindu mythology (a winged horse that can fly). Such delusions can certainly make him murtad. So how do we know if someone is a real Muslim or he is a murtad?

Assuming you know a person is murtad, then what do you do? The PAS will say that he must be killed. There is no such thing in the Quran. In fact there is no punishment of any sort at all mentioned in the Quran for apostates. It only says Allah will not forgive them or show them the way (Surah 4:137).

Not surprisingly the christian Bible says that the apostate must be killed. So when the PAS says there is no freedom in their religion, what they are really trying to say is "I kill you".

What do I think about murtad? Well first of all to all the millions of Muslims who have already murtad may I please beg you to come back to Islam. Please read, understand and live your lives according to the Quran. If you reject the Quran, you are murtad.

All those who are anti-Quran are definitely murtad. Dont murtad ok. Murtad is bad. (Murtabak is good). But if you murtad, that is your choice. I cannot do anything about it. Lu punya pasal lah lu mahu murtad. Lu kena tanggung. The Quran says Allah shows us two ways or two paths. It is up to you to choose the right path.

Surah 90:10-19

90:10 Did we not show him the two paths (najdayni)?
90:11 He should choose the difficult path.
90:12 Which one is the difficult path?
90:13 The freeing of slaves (raqeeb).
90:14 Feeding, during the time of hardship.
90:15 Orphans who are related.
90:16 Or the poor who is in need.
90:17 And being one of those who believe, and exhorting one another to be steadfast, and exhorting one another to be kind.
90:18 These have deserved happiness.
90:19 As for those who disbelieved in our revelations, they have incurred misery.

It is up to us to choose the right path. And if we become anti-Quran then we would have incurred intense misery. Terrible misery.

The PAS fellows have quoted Surah 6:153 as their proof that Muslims should not murtad. Well first of all, the word murtad does not even appear in that verse.

Surah 6:153 This is My path - a straight one (siratul mustaqeem). You shall follow it, and do not follow any other paths, lest they divert you from His path. These are His commandments to you, that you may be saved.

But you can find this advice throughout the Quran. This is the essence of the Quran ie that Muslims must not reject Allah. The Quran tells Muslims numerous times not to reject belief in Allah, not to reject the Rasul, not to reject the Quran. For example see 90:19 that I have quoted above :

Surah 90:19 "As for those who disbelieved in our revelations, they have incurred misery."

So if you are anti-Quran, you also incur terrible misery. You also become murtad. The fact is the Quran is the Right Way or the Siraatin Mustaqeem. Dont believe me? Here are two verses :

Surah 22:54 "And that those on whom knowledge has been bestowed may learn that the (Qur'an) is the Truth from thy Lord, and that they may believe therein, and their hearts may be made humbly (open) to it: for verily Allah is the Guide of those who believe, to the Straight Way (siraatin mustaqeem)." (Yusuf Ali translation).

Here is another verse :

Surah 42:52 "And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way (siratin mustaqeem)" (Yusuf Ali translation).

But the question that the PAS boys must consider is why is it that there is absolutely NO earthly punishment of any kind prescribed in the Quran for those who reject belief (murtad)?

Surah 4:137 "Surely, those who believe, then disbelieve, then believe, then disbelieve, then plunge deeper into disbelief, GOD will not forgive them, nor will He guide them in any way."

This verse describes a fellow who moves in and out of belief. First he believes, then he kafirs, then he believes again, then he kafirs again and then he persists in his kafir. So where is the earthly punishment (temporal punishment) in the Quran for this type of "murtad" person? Dia sudah "murtad" dua kali.

Remember folks - Muslims must believe and accept the Quran. Those who are anti-Quran become murtad.
