Bar Council Is A Cesspool?

My comments :  The last point by this lawyer is very relevant. The Bar Council is the ONLY professional legal body. I think this is the problem. Why is this the case? The Bar Council is a monopoly.

If you are not a member of the Bar then you cannot practise Law in this country.  Fine. I have no problems with that. We need professional bodies.

But we should not have monopolies. Perhaps it is time we had not just one Bar Council but more than one.  It is time we created other professional bodies to represent the lawyers. Call it what you want - Bar Stools Club,  Legal "Wars" Association or whatever. But there should be more than one professional association to represent the legal profession.

The lawyer in the video says the Bar Council has become a cesspool. When they start covering up for ex-convicts (that is what the lawyer in the video says, not me ok) who were jailed by the Court (which members of the Bar depend upon to derive their income) then we have to relook their roles carefully.  Something is terribly wrong with the Bar Council.

By the way that screaming Chinese woman is telling that Indian guy to "Get out of this country".  So if they come to power is this what they will do - kick some Indians out of the country?  Why?

The Federal Constitution says 'No citizen shall be deprived of citizenship'.

Well if you have lived in the US for 30 years, become an American citizen, did not renew your Malaysian passport or updated your Malaysian IC (this is a true story), it may be quite a task to come back and prove your Malaysian citizenship.

But that Indian cameraman in the video is obviously a resident of Kuala Lumpur. He is here. Why tell him to 'Get out of this country'?  Who gives you the right to say evil things like that to a Malaysian?

On the plus side that angry Chinese woman seems to really care for the country. She  needs better communication skills.

And she is not betting on the right  horse either.  Forget about the liwat, forget about boinking your best friend's wife or boinking the China Doll. Lets forget about all that for a minute.

How can Bapa Rasuah and the "Inventor of Money Politics" be your guardian angel? What is wrong with you?

Election Commission Pays Below Minimum Wage.

Folks, Sinar Harian has been doing some investigative reporting.  This was reported here in  Agenda Daily.

According to Saifuddin Nasution the PKR Sec Gen, it looks like Tan Sri Abdul Aziz, the Chairman of the Election Commission also moonlights as a driver.

And the Deputy Chairman of the EC Dato Wan Ahmad Wan Omar moonlights as a peniaga kedai makan. The following story is taken from Agenda Daily :

My conclusion :
1. Either the EC's salaries are rock bottom - ie they are paying the Chairman Tan Sri Aziz and Deputy Chairman Dato Wan Ahmad below Minimum Wage salaries - which has forced these two gentlemen to moonlight as peniaga kedai makan and driver kereta or
2. Saifudin is simply lying.

What do you think?

A Day With The Army

Posted: 07 May 2012 04:01 AM PDT

The Army held a media event yesterday at the Sungai Besi Military Camp. Quite a large number of reps from media organisations (print, electronic and alternative) were present. The Moon was present as was The Sun.  It was daytime so the stars were not out.

It was a "kenal mesra" event between the Army and the Press.  We gathered at the Army Camp at 0700 hours (7 am). There was a shooting contest. Here are some pictures.

An old Ferret car from the Malayan Emergency days

The shooting competition used the Steyr Rifle

The Steyr

A clip of 5.56 mm ammo (20 shots)

On the range. Target  at  100 metres.

Its a beached porpoise. Nope. Its Team Blogger

Another beached sea creature. Getting set up.

Army doctor Lt Colonel Dr. Tan, 13 years service with the Army was on hand (to tend to the wounded). Fortunately no one got shot.

Lunch came after brunch which came after breakfast. I left before hi tea.

Team Blogger.  We took down all our targets at 100 metres. Lost by one second to the other guys.
