Posted: 05 Nov 2013 10:17 PM PST UPDATE The Islamic party slams Karpal! PAS has spoken out against the call by DAP chairman Karpal Singh yesterday to disallow bodies operating along racial and religious lines. Its information chief Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man,, describing the proposal as dangerous and unfounded, hit out at the veteran lawyer for failing to understand PAS's struggle. "What is the danger of PAS to multi-racial Malaysia? People should evaluate for themselves how PAS has ruled Kelantan for over 23 years, Terengganu in 1999 and Kedah in 2008 in promoting racial unity and protecting the rights of both the Muslim and non-Muslim people. Were there any non-Muslim who was sidelined?" ORIGINAL POSTING Poor Karpal Singh. Already talking through his nose, the veteran lawyer and DAP politician tried to play a 'Malaysian Malaysia' by suggesting the deregistration of all religious and race groups so as the 'new Malaysia' would be free of interfaith and inter-racial conflict. Hmmm... quite a good idea except that he should also suggest the 'Malaysianation' of Malaysians. In other words, there won't be any names to reflect one's race and religion such as Mohamad, Karpal Singh, Lim Kit Siang, Nik Aziz, Indira, Rajendran or David. All names will reflect the 'Malaysian Malaysia' concept DAP has been promoting over the past few decades. Karpal could choose any Malaysian name he prefers, just like the case in Indonesia where a Muslim, a Sikh, a Buddhist or a Christian may share the initial 'Agus', 'Kartono' or 'Bambang'. How's that, Mr Smart Ass? Just because he protects the Bar Council over the Allah issue, he veered further by proposing the deregistration of all race-base political parties such as Umno, MCA and MIC. PAS is not on the list because of the Islamic party's 'non-Muslim supporters group'. What about DAP? DAP is smart for giving a tiny space for a few non-Chinese, hence making it looks more like a national party. Apart from the MLA, Karpal added today that all other political and professional bodies that operate along religious or racial lines should also be de-registered.Taking into consideration of his idea, NGOs like Perkasa, Dong Zong, Hokkien Association, Hindraf, Makkal Sakthi, Wadda Gurdwara Sahib and GerakSikh Malaysia should also be de-registered. And how about abolishing all vernacular schools and absorb them into 'Satu Sekolah' concept? No more SRJK(China) or SRJK (Tamil) around but Mandarin and Tamil languages can be taught at all Satu Sekolah schools. What else? Celebrate only Malaysia Day and scrap Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Vasakthi, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Gawai and Christmas? Try use your visualising mind! To achieve that, we need many years to amend the Federal Constitution. I hope Karpal would still be around to help preparing its new content, should the majority of Malaysians agree to his brilliant (ha ha ha!) idea. By the way, what name would Karpal choose under the Malaysian Malaysia concept? Karpala Singah? And frankly speaking, I like this old man. Without him, Malaysian politics would be so dull! |
