Posted: 21 Jun 2013 10:13 AM PDT Anwar will not give up. His Black 505 rally will go on amid the fact he has lost, Pakatan Rakyat did not win the 13th general election and he failed to become a prime minister. So crazy for power. He keeps the lies and strews it around, dodging the people into believing that Barisan Nasional's legitimate win was a victory robbed from him. By hook or by crook, he wants Najib's seat. Read his latest blog post: We won the elections but UMNO has used the Elections Commission to steal our victory. They have cheated the people. They have violated their rights. And now the police are being instructed to issue unwarranted threats of prosecution if we proceed with this rally. The whole nation is under threat. Rallies in open space like the Padang Merbok opens the door to provocation and it may spill to other parts of Kuala Lumpur. But it is their intention - provoke the police and create a scene so that the authority and the government will take the blame. Just like Bersih 3.0, the demonstrators got notorious and attacked the police personnel and destroyed public properties. To Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, dont get scared and do not tolerate should the rally turns ugly. No discount on law and order, please! The police must act accordingly. Bring them in if they create chaos and disrupt our peaceful Saturday. The opposition will definitely make noise and criticise the authority as usual but dont get intimidated as they actually know they are wrong! |
Ku Li and Anwar, an impossible partners Posted: 21 Jun 2013 02:30 AM PDT First, they discussed and contemplated a 'hung Parliament'. However, after May 5 polling day, it fizzled out when Barisan Nasional won the general election with a simple majority. They tried again, and this time using Gua Musang BN MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah as the trojan horse. And Ku Li, an Umno veteran who didnt get any Cabinet position for more than a decade, seemed 'agreeable' to spearhead the initiative. Its all about power, greed and 'seeking the right balance' in the government but what is so wrong about PM Najib's Cabinet, which for the first time saw no rep from MCA? And why is Ku Li so willing to help out the opposition in unseating the premier? BN is the outright winner of the 13th GE amid protest and complaints of vote rigging and other irregularities that are still unproven. Any move to force Najib and his team to step down will be unlawful under the Federal Constitution. A winner is still a winner, even by a single seat majority at the Parliament. There are already unconfirmed rumors that Ku Li will lead a group of 56 MPs from Sarawak and Sabah to push for a vote of no confidence at the Dewan Rakyat on June 24 although it was brushed aside by some. What's the motive, and why must Sabah and Sarawak MPs be made a bunch of fool by deprecating them to ride on the Borneo-Malaya sentiments, that BN government simply left the two states to fight for their own survival? And is Ku Li dead serious to take up the role? Jeffrey, a state assembly representative, made the comments in response to reports that MPs from the two states had met Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. He said it was clear that MPs from Sabah and Sarawak held a crucial position ever since the 2008 election as well as in the 13th General Election last month. This could be seen, he said, when Najib and the earlier prime minister, had a free reign to appoint their cabinets as they pleased. Najib had little choice in the appointment of 21 ministers and deputies from the two Borneo States following the outcomes of the GE13. He said Najib's promise to make further changes in his cabinet later this year to accommodate unhappy BN MPs from the two states shows just how influential MPs from the two states can be when they use their minds. Jeffrey pointed out that the people and their leaders in the two states needed to discard their old mentality of depending and relying on leaders from Malaya. "With due respect to Tengku Razaleigh or better known as Ku Li who is not only eminently qualified and experienced to lead Malaysia and probably will do a better job as Prime Minister than many from Umno, he is in the wrong party and the wrong coalition. - See more at: http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2013/06/17/jeffrey-rejects-talk-of-razaleigh-plan/#sthash.7D3pSX2T.dpuf Jeffrey, a state assembly representative, made the comments in response to reports that MPs from the two states had met Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. With Pakatan Rakyat's rallies nationwide losing steam, they see Ku Li as the man 'of no principle' whom they can ride on. And fact is fact. No Sabahan or Sarawakian MPs will take part in the vote of no confidence against Najib since their respective state leaders have given their words that none will support it, if it takes place. Even a suggestion for a new Malaysian leadership under Ku Li and Anwar Ibrahim will remain a dream, an elusive dream. With Ku Li's experience and Anwar's reformation, the duo would be the ideal pair to lead Malaysia. Both have similarities in their political career, both rose within Umno rank at young age, both have experience opposing Mahathir, both have experience as Finance Minister and both were Prime Minister material. In the past, Ku Li has worked closely with DAP and PAS opposing BN. However, he disbanded Semanget 46 and rejoined Umno. Ku Li has always maintained a good reputation within Umno and he is seen as a wise politician. He still commands wide support at grass root level. Whose idea was it, I am not sure of but the news about 'too many MPs met Ku Li' was politically motivated to send tremors to BN.In every crisis there will be an opportunity, PR has that opportunity now with Ku Li. Capitalising on Ku Li's influence, PR could pave their way to Putrajaya. Ku Li and Anwar could form the new government and spearhead the changes that every Malaysian aspires for. Ku Li as Prime Minister and Anwar as Deputy Prime Minister would be ideal for Malaysia's transformation and paradigm shift. Both leaders has advocated on many reform ideas and it's the time for both them to realise their ideologies. - See more at: http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/opinion/2013/06/19/ku-li-anwar-ideal-pair-to-lead-malaysia/#sthash.2SSHObaF.dpuf With a total of 133 MPs including from Sabah and Sarawak, Ku Li will not get enough votes should he proceed with the plan. Considering a few from BN join the team, it will still not enough to bring Najib down. However, many believe Ku Li will not betray Umno and Barisan Nasional. He understands the tattiness of local politics but he will not go to the extent of battering the government, the party and the trust given by the electorates. So, the opposition's attempt to seek solace in him will not work. He may had produced some poignant remarks and comments about Umno and the current leadership but he will never let himself be taken for a ride, not particularly by the opposition.
