Hisham has every rights, Musa!

A-ah... it takes someone with legal mind to speak up for Home Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, defending him and his rights as a minister and chairman of the Royal Police Commission.

I am not sure if former IGP Musa Hassan knows Hisham's duty and power as Mr KDN when accusing the latter of 'interfering with the police work' recently. That allegation came two years after he retired.

Read what Rais Yatim, a Cabinet member who always uphold 'justice', says about it:

Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim yesterday slammed parties that disputed and criticised the duties and responsibilities carried out by a minister.
He said for example, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussin was recently alleged to have interfered in the affairs of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), although he was just doing his job, as entrusted.
He said, those who criticised were actually not familiar with the legal matters and should realise their mortification.
"Based on the country's laws, I am of the view that the Home Minister is responsible under the Police Act, he is the top security leader in the country and he is also responsible for police.
"He is the chairman of the Royal Police Commission and as its chairman, he is responsible for the welfare, promotion and matters pertaining to development of the force,' he told reporters after launching the 1Malaysia Caring Community Gathering at Ampang Jaya police head office here today.
He said there was no question of interfering as the role and outcome of decisions made were under the official duties of the minister.
He was commenting on a news portal report which quoted former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan alleging that the police force under his leadership faced interference from Hishammuddin.
Of course I agree with Rais. If Hisham is not allowed to meddle with some of the police matters, better don't have a Home Minister at all. Just let the IGP runs the force autonomously.
