Mahdi & Rambo

Posted: 09 Jul 2012 10:43 PM PDT

Some nut went cuckoo at Putrajaya yesterday. He ended up getting shot and killed. Reports say he believed he was some kind of Mahdi. (A Mahdi is a fictitious character dreamed up by some ancient scriptwriters).  There is absolutely no mention of Imam Mahdi anywhere in the Quran.

When I saw the pictures of the guy I noted some similarities with another fictitious character from Hollywood. A picture is worth a thousand words. Here are some pictures :

Above here is a picture of Sylvester Stallone as Rambo. The other pictures below are of the guy who was shot dead yesterday.  These are taken from his Blog or somewhere.

There are some things in common between Rambo and this guy. Firstly note that both Rambo and the nut fellow do not wear shirts.  "Tak Pakai Baju" gang.

The second similarity is that Sylvester Stallone was acting as Rambo in a movie based on a Hollywood script. A Hollywood script is just fake. It is not real. It is make believe only. Just to entertain people. However the actors like Sylvester Stallone do make a lot of money.  They do not believe in the Hollywood scripts as true. They just act out the scripts and make a lot of money. They also entertain millions of people.

The guy who got shot in Putrajaya yesterday was also acting out a fake script. He thought he was the Mahdi or something, according to another fake script, like the Rambo Hollywood script. It is not real. Just some old Arabian fairytale.

Unfortunately the guy in Putrajaya  yesterday believed  in the fake Hollywood type script as being  true. The result was he ended up "tak pakai baju" and charging at a concrete and steel building with samurai swords (itu pun pedang samurai made by orang Jepun kafir - pedang sendiri pun takde, malu lah).

That is as far as the similarities between Sylvester Stallone and this guy go. Here is another picture of Sylvester Stallone - with his wife Jenny Flavin.  They live in paradise already. They are certainly not living in hell.

Here is the headlines from Utusan Malaysia today showing the nut case guy and his woman - both down on the pavement after being shot by the Police. The second picture shows the  injured woman helping him as he was mortally wounded. The guy died later in the hospital. Innalilaahi Inna Ilaihi Raajiun.  What a waste of life - just because they believe in fairy tales.

Egyptian President's First Mistake

Here is the news :

Egypt's president-elect has vowed to win the release of an Egyptian cleric jailed by the U.S. for planning the first attack on New York's World Trade Center.
Omar Abdel-Rahman, "the blind sheikh," is serving a life sentence in a federal prison for his role in the 1993 bombing that killed six people in lower Manhattan.
""I see banners for Omar Abdel Rahman's family, and for prisoners arrested according to martial rulings and detainees from the beginning of the revolution," said Egyptian president-elect Mohammed Morsi to a buoyant crowd of Islamist supporters . on Friday.
"It is my duty to make every effort, and I will beginning tomorrow, to secure their release, among them Omar Abdel Rahman."
Rahman, 74, a veteran of Egypt's Islamist movement, was jailed in Egypt for allegedly helping to inspire the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. He entered the U.S. in 1990. One of his followers was convicted of gun possession, though acquitted of murder, after the assassination of Jewish leader Rabbi Meir Kahane in New York in 1990.
I dont know if the new president made the following promises :
i. to clean up the streets of Cairo
ii. to take the water from the Nile (which flows thru Cairo) and use it to water plants and trees in Cairo
iii. to provide clean drinking water for all Egypytians
iv. to provide a centralised sewerage system for Cairo and the towns in Egypt
v. to build roads, highways and power grids throughout Egypt
vi. to completely free the Press
Instead his priority is to free a man jailed in the US after being found guilty of being a sponsor of terrorism,  who helped instigate the murder of Anwar Sadat and who inspired terrorist cells in New York.
It looks like the new Egyptian president has got his urgent priorities all set out.

Egyptian Undercurrents

It was reported yesterday that the newly elected Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi had made an 'executive decision' whereby he ordered Parliament to reconvene. By doing so, Morsi was reversing  the decision by the Egyptian Court last month to nullify the most recent Parliamentary elections where the Muslim Brotherhood secured the majority of seats.  The move to get the Court to nullify the elections was sponsored by the anti-Muslim Brotherhood military.

Today's news says the military has given an implicit warning to the new President to "respect the Constitution". Egypt does not yet have a new Constitution while the old one is not respected by anyone. Here is the news :
  • CAIRO (AP) — Egypt's powerful military has delivered a thinly veiled warning to the country's new president, saying it expects all state institutions to respect the constitution.
  • ..followed a decision by Islamist President Mohammed Morsi to revoke last month's executive order by the ..military to dissolve parliament after the country's highest court said a third of its members were illegally elected.
  • the military will continue to support "legitimacy, the constitution and the law" — language that means the generals would likely oppose attempts to reconvene parliament in defiance of the court's ruling.
I think the rock and roll will start again in Egypt when the Islamists try to take money for themselves or when they try to curb the power of the military. This is bound to happen.
Complicating this is the fact that the Islamists do not have the support of the majority of Egypt's voters or the citizenry. Only 51% of voters voted in the presidential elections and of this figure Mohamed Morsi only obtained 51% of the vote. Effectively only 26% of Egyptian voters support Morsi. That is very thin ice in a country where respect for the written word, the written law or legitimate elections is still wanting.
