Azmin 'slaps' Khalid

Posted: 06 Feb 2014 10:39 PM PST

PKR deputy president Azmin Ali has slammed Khalid Ibrahim for the sacking of more than 20 PKNS contract staff, asking the mentri besar to revoked the dismissal letter and apologise to 'rakyat' Selangor.

He also reminded Khalid not to use PKNS as a vehicle to get rid of his political rivals.

Wow! What a stunning remark by the MP, which indicates how deep the row between the two is over the state administration issues.
PETALING JAYA: PKR deputy president Azmin Ali wants Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to revoke the dismissal letters of more than 20 contract workers of the  Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), and apologise to the people.
In a strongly-worded statement issued Friday, Azmin, said Khalid's action was a "violation of employment laws and grossly inhumane".
"I call upon the powers concerned to immediately revoke the dismissal letters and apologise to the people of Selangor for such an inconsiderate and high-handed action.
"In the interest of justice and good governance, Khalid must stop using the PKNS as a personal weapon against his political rivals," he said.
On Tuesday, 22 contract workers of PKNS, including senior personnel, had been sacked with immediate effect, with no reasons given for their termination.
They were given two months' salary as compensation.
The termination came following Azmin's dismissal as one of PKNS' board members amid reported rivalry between him and Khalid.
With Kajang state seat by-election closing in, such a bickering among PKR leaders will have adverse impact on Anwar Ibrahim's chance to win.

While Azmin fully supports Anwar candidancy, Khalid's role as the 'campaign manager' in Kajang will surely lock Azmin and Khalid into another pit as both have been avoiding each other since rumor mongers spread news about the possibility of Azmin replacing him as mentri besar.

PKR is equally divided over the issue - one with Khalid while the other was hoping for Azmin to get the seat.

In another 'Kajang' development, PAS has openly rejected Anwar as the new mentri besar of Selangor even in he wins the by-election, dubbed by many as the most dirtiest political game ever staged in Malaysia.
PAS Central Commitee, Nasrudin Hassan said, the issue of changing Selangor's MB was not raised and is irrelevant.
"The decision was made during PAS Central's Political Division meeting. In other words, PAS disagree to use PRK Dun Kajang as an agenda in changing Selangor's MB.
"These are the two major decisions made and proposed in the official statement made by PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang. From the decisions made, it is clear that PAS has its own collective stand and will not be moved easily," he said in a statement yesterday.
However, Pas is ready to assist PKR in Kajang's by-election."PAS Central's Political Division did not discuss on whether they agreed or not regarding the issue of Adun Kajang's decision to step down. What's done is done. Like it or not, the seat is vacant and the by-election will be held.
"The seat belongs to PKR, based on the understanding made before, thus it is PKR's right to put its candidate. The Political Division's meeting was mainly focused on the attitude towards the coming by-election," he said.
So, Anwar cannot become an MB without PAS' 'blessing', and of course without the Sultan's consent.

But then, what's the point of becoming an Adun without a state portfolio. He is the opposition de facto leader, remember?

Are we for real?

Readers, I want your views and comments.

Please be honest.
Temperatures rose today after a Muslim NGO slaughtered two chickens and offered a RM1,200 reward to anyone who dared to slap Seputeh MP Teresa Kok as a sign of anger towards opposition leaders for allegedly insulting the Malay leadership and Islam.
Members of the Muslim NGO then smeared the blood of the slaughtered chickens on a banner featuring photographs of Kok, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and Machang Bubuk PKR assemblyman Lee Khai Loon.
The act was carried out in Kuala Lumpur today as a sign of protest against the opposition leaders who were alleged to have insulted the "Malay leadership, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Islam and Malay dignity".
The focus of the group, which called itself the Council of Islamic NGOs, was Kok and her Chinese New Year greeting video, entitled "Onederful" Malaysia CNY 2014.
The Council of Islamic NGOs are Pertubuhan Permuafakatan Majlis Ayahanda Malaysia (Permas), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam dan Dakwah (Pekida), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Insan Bakti Malaysia (Perkib), Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) and Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia (MJMM).
I don't want to say anything, not just yet but I can sense the mercury rising. At any time, the thermometer can crack.

Honestly, I don't like Teresa Kok, Tian Chua and the Opposition for their big mouth but is it necessary for us to join them?
