Don't just ban them, KDN! Investigate! Posted: 04 Feb 2014 08:49 AM PST The list of 12 books banned by the Home Ministry on Tuesday: 1. Akhirnya Ku Temui Kebenaran by Dr Muhammad Al-Tijani Al-Samawi/ translated by UIA Islamic Studies Group (picture) 2. Agama Politik Nalar Politik Islam (Ahmad Vaezi/Ali Syahab) 3. 99 Wariat Imam Ja'far Ash-Shadiq Lentera Ilahi (Imam Ja'far Ash-Shadiq/Rahmani Astuti) 4. Saling Memberi Saling Menerima (Sayyid Mahdi As Sadr / Ali Bin Yahya) 5. Fatwa-Fatwa 2 Soal-Jawab Seputar Muamalah Ahlulbait (Ayatullah Al-Uzhma Imam Ali Khamenei/Mubsin Labib) 6. Teladan Abadi Ja'far Shadiq Sang Mahaguru (Husain Nahrawi) 7. Teladan Abadi Hasan Askari Tumpuan Kaum Papa (M. Ilyas and Hasan Al-Habsyi) 8. Teladan Abadi Husain Syahid (Abdullah Beik) 9. Fatimah Az-Zahra & 9 Keturunannya Yang Mulia (Tarikuddin Bin Haji Hassan) 10. Imamul Muhtadin Ali Bin Abi Thalib (H. M. H. Al-Hamid Al-Husaini) 11. Meniti Titian Kebenaran (Khair Izzah) 12. Memories Of Muhammad: Why The Prophet Matters (Omid Safi). Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the books contain elements that can threaten public order and morality. I am actually more alarmed at the fact that the books were translated by the UIA Islamic Studies Group. Are they still with the university or riding on its name to dodge the authority and the people with such books. My suggestion to KDN - please investigate the people behind it and their motive. I also believe there are more books, especially those imported, should be banned for good. They come in many languages. A thorough checking, perhaps? We must go deep inside... |
Posted: 04 Feb 2014 04:51 AM PST A good case of how a student lashed out at his 'teacher'. A clear 'lawan tokeh' of how a political newcomer badmouthed a veteran. How should we describe him? 'Kurang ajar' or what? But it doesn't matter. Its all taking place in PKR, notably in Selangor. Just let them! Read: KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 31 — Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is not a "skilled" enough politician to handle Barisan Nasional's (BN) political onslaught, PKR's Rafizi Ramli said last night as he defended his party's decision to field Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the coming Kajang by-election.Its a 'Melayu against another Melayu'. In conservative Malays, a 'boy' like Rafizi will be labeled as insolent for 'trying to teach a bird how to fly'. Someone would easily tell Rafizi to 'fly kite' instead for his remarks about Khalid. But as the Malay saying goes, 'kecil jangan disangka anak, besar jangan disangka bapak', Rafizi has the right to say anything he wants about his leaders and party. In fact, we can find more and more people like him in Umno! |
