Jamilah Hanim Othman As for division chiefs, better get rid of the deadwoods and those who have been in control for more than three terms. In some divisions, internal bickering had cost Umno many Parliamentary and state seats in the 13th general election. Yes, the divisions are where the 'evil dwells' - division head and deputy not in talking term, especially when the deputy was picked as a candidate for parliamentary seat. Most division heads think since they are the division' boss, they must stand for parliamentary seat, and not his deputy, secretary or others. I have seen many such cases, most noticeable is in one of Trengganu divisions when the division head and deputy lost both parliament and state seat over 'back stabbing' and 'who should contest where'. And the voters, including Umno members, punished them by voting the opposition candidates. Why? They were fed up and blas! We need to give such people the boot before its too late! SELAMAT MEMBUAT PILIHAN!  |
