Cabinet Posts : PAS Warns PKR & DAP

Posted: 03 Oct 2012 01:02 AM PDT

This is from Tan Sri Zam's Blog here.  He quotes the following news report from the Harakah Daily.

Menurut Sinar, Selangor mungkin kehilangan Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim sekiranya Pakatan Rakyat (PR) berjaya menawan Putrajaya dalam Pilihan Raya Umum ke-13 (PRU13).

Isnt that quite funny?  The Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak asked a legitimate question the other day. The PM asked why was it that the Pakatan folks cannot even name a shadow Cabinet?

The silence from the Pakatan has been too deafening. So one clown jumped the gun and started shooting his mouth. But the statement by the PKR fellow that a Pakatan Cabinet will have at least 20 PKR Ministers shows the typical arrogant attitude of the PKR.

The net result is PAS' Mustafa Ali has had to warn the PKR not to be too arrogant in talking about 20 Cabinet Ministers and new MBs in Selangor.

(By the way Khalid will most certainly NOT remain as the MB of Selangor after the elections. If the Pakatan retains Selangor the new MB will most likely be Azmin Ali. Khalid will get kicked out.)

Anyway, if DAP and PAS are also to have equal numbers of Ministers, the Pakatan will have a 60 member Cabinet (20 PKR, 20 DAP and 20 PAS).

Assuming PAS and DAP win more seats than PKR then it could be be 20 PKR Ministers, 30 DAP Ministers and 40 PAS Ministers - a 90 member Cabinet.  They can have their Cabinet meetings at the Shah Alam Stadium.

(Well if even before the elections the PKR can say they want 20 Cabinet posts, then whats wrong if I say the DAP should have 30 Ministers and PAS 40 Ministers? I am using their same illogic  lah !)

60 Ministers ke, 90 Ministers ke or even a 100 member Cabinet is dunggu enough. Who is going to be Prime Minister? Deputy PM? Minister of Finance? Defense Minister?

And here is the most sensitive one : who shall be Minister of Women's Affairs? Mat Sabu ??

Folks a few days ago I attended a most interesting briefing. I made some notes and hoped to Blog it. Tapi Zam's Blog today has sort of jump started the issue.

The Pakatan plan is that if they win the elections, they will appoint the Read Admiral as the PM. But for two years only - or less. Why two years? Because they want to use the two years to "make some changes in the Laws of the country". That one for later lah.

Anyway, after two years they will remove the Rear Admiral and replace him with that rambut lurus guy who has not just one girlfriend but actually two (besides a wife).  The island people seem to know this better.

How will they remove the Rear Admiral?  The story goes that Kapal Sink has a secret "floppy disk" which he will pull out and show to the Rear Admiral. It is a chappati.  Once the Rear Admiral sees the floppy chappati he will resign.  Then the straight hair guy will become PM.  (I know it sounds unlikely but this is the realm of daydreams ok - anything is possible in daydreams).

My view is slightly different.  Firstly whispers say that some PAS guys are already talking to UMNO about secret election pacts.  I can guess but its only a guess.  So the PAS is hedging their bets too.

The Rear Admiral also has tricks up his sleeve. If there is any move to oust him, or even if  Pakatan wins, the Rear Admiral is going to play a simple and possibly effective game.

He will declare a "general amnesty" for all UMNO MPS. He will say all UMNO MPs are welcome to join him.  He will promise them Ministerial posts as well.

If you think this is ridiculous, please recall the infamous 9-16 fiasco where 31 UMNO and other MPs in Sabah were supposed to jump ship ? Dah lupa  ke?

There will be resistance from PAS and DAP. In which event the Rear Admiral may say that in the interests of unity, PKR and UMNO will merge - his most ardent desire ever since he was kicked out of UMNO in  1998.  He would have realised  that most unachievable wet dream - to rejoin UMNO as president and Prime Minister.

Plus there will be his bag carriers inside UMNO (yes they are still there) who will help ease the way for this to happen. The SIL was mentioned as still having chummy relations with the Rear Admiral, until today.

So picture this, if the Pakatan wins, first the Rear Admiral becomes PM. Then with or without any of Kapal Sinks chappati floppy disks, the PKR merges with UMNO, the Rear Admiral becomes president of UMNO and Prime Minister and the SIL becomes Deputy PM.

Mat Sabu, Mahfouz, Hadi etc will retire and set up a rap music group. They will launch an  'Islamic rap' song called 'Who-doed, dood, who-doed, dood'. It will go platinum.

And we live happily ever after.

Jordan : Massive Demos Planned For Friday

Posted: 02 Oct 2012 07:03 PM PDT

Here is a rerun of an old, boring black and white movie - where the script is so easy to understand and the story even easier to predict.

Arab country, run by the same people for the past 50 years or so, no democracy, no free elections, no free Press, no free thinking Blogs or Bloggers, no  electoral process, the same entrenched groups getting richer, the same cronies, the same corruption. Shared wealth is not shared with everyone. "Redistribution" of wealth is not fairly redistributed. Again the rich get more, the poor get less. So eventually the people will revolt.

The 'religious groups" will lead the revolt. They will topple the oppressive governments. Then they will take over the contry. And then they will send the country to hell.  This is happening now in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and eventually in Syria as well.

The latest news is there is a massive demonstration planned by the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan for this Friday. Here is some chopped up news :
  • late-blooming Arab Spring in Jordan?
  • Muslim Brotherhood call for massive rally in Amman
  • large demonstrations planned for Friday – biggest in years
  • how long Jordan can remain immune from demands for change
  • Syrian refugees, economy, Muslim Brotherhood adding to  combustible atmosphere
  • when dialogue channels are closed, people will go to the streets
  • dialogue between government and Muslim Brotherhood
  • King Abdullah II has sworn reform and new elections by end of year.
  • many say elections a "copy and paste" of the same kind of parliament,
  • "absence of serious dialogue, polarization in Jordan like never before in 10 years.
  • situation simmering for the past year and-a-half.
  • frustration has grown.
  • organizer Muslim Brotherhood, opposition parties including Wihda and Nahda Party.
  • pro-monarchy group to hold counter-protest, raising concerns clashes between the two.
  • Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood declared gathering as "Save the Homeland" rally
  • place citizens "at the source of authority" – an apparent reference to royal rule.
  • rein in corruption;  loosen control by security services; freedom of expression; release  imprisoned protesters and political detainees.
  • "Friday will be a test"
  • "Muslim Brotherhood .. say Islam is  solution, but they don't really present solutions,"

Club of Doom again.  Talk first, shoot later OR shoot first, talk later. Lets wait and see.
