Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng are inciting racial hatred in their personal politics, making the undemocratic DAP as a vehicle to promote distrust among Malaysians, particularly the Malays and Chinese. Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the former Ipoh Timur MP is only thinking of winning the Gelang Patah seat for his party, not for the good of the people.
"He will never fulfill the promises that he have made because the opposition would never form a government.
"He (Lim) will only be satisfied if the Chinese community in Johor hate the Malays," said Dr Mahathir.
Dr Mahathir said the tactic employed by the DAP in telling the Chinese community that they are being neglected by the government, would end up destroying the country.
"If the Malays and Chinese hate each other, there would be no peace in the country, which in turn would make it impossible for businessmen to carry out their businesses here.
"The result would be that the country would not prosper," said Dr Mahathir.
Dr Mahathir said this in his speech at the Bicara Perdana event at Dataran Tanjung Emas here today.
Also present were Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, Deputy Youth and Sport Minister Datuk Razali Ibrahim and state Exco members.
The former premier said if the people accept the concept of sharing practiced by Barisan Nasional, the country will continue to be peaceful as well as continuing to develop and prosper.
"The people can witness for themselves what BN have done to the country for the last 55 years where Malaysia have almost reach its target of being a developed country by 2020.
In Penang, his son Guan Eng gives different treatment to the Chinese and Malays. While the Chinese are given special attention in many aspect of life, the Malays find themselves at a retreat. For instance, the Chinese petty traders and hawkers are allowed to open up their business anywhere without any action from the local authorities. However, the Malays are the subject of bias enforcement. His Malay deputy Mansor Osman is just a puppet, nothing much he can do to help the Malays as Guan Eng is the kingmaker. Being a deputy CM is only to complete Penang state administration structure.  |
